my strategy is simple, whatever cup mug or glass is clean in the cupboard that I can jamb into my trucks cup holder with a reasonable chance it doesnt end up in my lap 2 blocks out

This is a very serious thread. If you’re not going to contribute I ask that you leave.
If it is indeed that serious, I'm nor sure I can get behind your total lack of respect for Bubba by not including them, given their status as an indicator species for all-inclusive tropical locations.

I dunno, the two pack of contigo mugs from Costco?
I really don't have strong feelings on thermos and cooler brands
Love the Contigo ones for coffee/hot drinks. Otherwise Hydroflask for cold drinks. Have a water bottle type and another for beer/mixed drinks when camping since it keeps it ice cold
Oh, and as for having a lid, I nearly drank a large beetle camping once while we were drinking around the fire still using the old red solo cups. It was dark out and I didn't look into the cup before taking the sip. That was fun

I don't know if I would have sprung for one, but work gave us all Yeti coffee mugs a couple years ago and it remains the best swag I've ever received. I use it a few times a week and it is fantastic at keeping my coffee hot.
I used to have some Hydro Flasks, and have some YETI currently, but recently been using the insulated stainless Blender one a lot, so I guess Blender is my current favourite.
Apparently the Stanley wins in testing, will have to get one:

My wife has 2 Yeti mugs. She basically rotates them bringing them to work.
I don't often use travel mugs, as I'm adbsent minded and will leave it in random places thus losing it. I'll forget it at work/in the car and then it'll go days before being washed.
A Tim Hortons paper cup, I can throw in a microwave if need be, and I don't have to worry about leaving it where ever I just happened to put it down.

Yup, that's me too. Last time I used a travel mug, it stayed in my locker at work for 4 months before I just threw it out
