I would assume any strip club named Beef wouldn't have very many women there... either on stage or in the audience.

A hitch in a batter swing is (usually albeit debatable) consider a bad thing.
Hitting the post in hockey usually stings.
So you get a bit of self degradation to keep it reasonable.
Plus it sounds like hitching post which is where you tie up a horse as a Texas ranger might have…and blasty being a horse and all.
