First, the install is pretty dead simple. If you can turn off the water value, put a towel behind the tank, unhook and reconnect some braided stainless steel lines using an adjustable spanner, you can install one of these things. Teflon tape is included in the box.
So what's the verdict? It's great. Cheap, easy to install.
Notes:
1. You guys are really blowing the whole 'cold water' thing waaaaaay out of proportion. It really isn't that bad.
2. There is definitely some 'positioning' adjustment you need to get used to, the jets aren't all that well-aimed on these cheaper ones IMO, and I think the 'feminine hygiene' jet is actually meant to be used by women facing the opposite direction (sitting facing the tank).
8.5/10, dry wipes are for suckas.

It was a big dog. TBF, the controls on these bidets are ones which are, in hindsight, susceptible to being nudged into an on position. I don't even know if they are made that way any more.

The spray really gets de-energized by the crack, and just drips back down into the toilet. Way less pressure remaining than taking a watery ####.

There are ones that can use a hot water line (I think) but more just use an electric heater.

The minimum you need is to tee off of the toilet supply line. For fancy stuff, you need an outlet. That's it.

If you #### while its spraying, yes. Otherwise the spigot retracts. Don't spray and ####.

Like a millimetre. Some have swappable heads for different patterns/pressures.

If you have electrical on the other side of the wall, it's easy to retrofit an outlet. Or go peasant mode, water only.

The one I bought included the T-fitting that will connect to the filler of any standard toilet tank, the steel-braided water line to connect to the bidet and the T-fitting, a rubber sealing washer for the side of the T-fitting that connects to the tank filler, teflon tape, and the bidet itself. And that's all you should need.

I mean, I was referring to plumbing hardware. You should have a large towel handy to catch the remaining drips from the tank after you've shut the water off and drained the tank by holding the flusher.

Ya, that is more what I was getting at. Let's just say I did this twice, and forgot both times. It was a "don't be like Fuzz and forget" comment.

Did you already have a rack installed for the dedicated towel or do you have a cat?

I still think the concept of a gas-powered bidet is hilarious.
You've gotta pull the cord...

I don’t get how the towel situation works. Do you have a “single use” stack and a hamper? Monogrammed multi use towels? What do the guests use? Who gets the task of washing a load of butt towels?

Ah. You probably need a model with buttock detection.

Guests can fend for themselves. It's not your underwear.

We just got one, I've only used it once so far as I'm normally closer to a different toilet in the house. It's a little chilly but not too bad, had to sit further back for the stream to hit the 'Target' as it were.
Definitely felt cleaner and fresher.
