I most definantly had birthday parties at both bullwinkles with the awesome mechanical band and easy street.

I remember at easy street if you got your ball in the whole on the last whole of hte mini golf you'd get a free game, so I would always lie down under the screen and throw it in with my hand haha. If I remember correctly there was a giant tree with tables around it for birthday parties. Before the Renovations it was at the top of the escalators where hte present sport check is right?

I always liked the arcade in the grocery store near Minimall and Rollerland in 87, 88...Mat Mania is and still is an addiction.

Not in Calgary, but I always remembered the big arcade in West Ed Mall when we would visit up there. Can't remember the name though.

Adam's Billiard and arcade was awesome back in the day. I remember going there during my lunch hours in junior high. It was on northmount and 14th st right by CB's drive in.

Shakers has Skee Ball, Air Hockey and a bunch of other old and new games, plus a billion of those ticket dispensing game. In the summer it has mini-golf, go karts and bumper boats I think. The website shows what they have. It's good for an afternoon when you're bored and want to waste some time.

It's a little out of the way (take Glenmore eastbound just past 84th Street) but it's the only decent arcade left in the city aside from Chinook Theatre.

Great memories of walking to the Mac's store a block from my house when I was young with a pocket full of quarters to play Street Fighter 2. I also remember loving SouthCentre Mall's arcade for the Royal Rumble WWF game they had. Good times.

I remember playing Mortal Kombat at the Food For Less on 32nd Ave NE. I liked going there to play because it was 50 cents to start, and ony a quarter to continue. The only bad part was they had a setting in place that took out the blood and fatalities. My brother and I would go and play every Saturday afternoon when my parents went there grocery shopping. Ah, good times.

All this arcade talk makes me want to buy an old multicade system with the 80s classics.

Where was there a Bullwinkles in Calgary? I remember my parents taking me to the one in Edmonton when we went up there.

The old Wizards Castles you could find in the larger malls were fun too.

I think the Bullwinkles in Calgary is now the Schanks Macleod location.

I remember the last time my family tried to go to Bullwinkle's. It was my sister's third birthday. We arrived and the place was closed. Oh what a depressing day that was.

Easy Street was good, but never really captured the awesomeness that was Bullwinkle's. They have one in Portland (Beaverton) still, but it is newly built and just doesn't have the magic that Bullwinkle's on Macleod had.

Calgary was better in late 80's early 90's than I think it ever will be again.

Funny thing about Bullwinkles; in the late 80s a buddy and I came to Calgary for a visit and somebody suggested we go to Bullwinkles if we were bored. Now Winnipeg had a "Bullwinkles" but it was a night club. Needless to say it wasn't quite what we were expecting.

I seem to recall seeing an arcade along 7th ave; like near 2nd street SW. I see it from the train. I just checked Google, but of course the Streetview car never made it down 7th ave.

Anyone remember the arcades in Brentwood and Beddington? Now those were arcades. Both died in the 90s IIRC.

If anyone knows where any pinball machines are, my 4 year old would love to see a real one. We've been playing Pinball Hall of Fame lately and he's loving it.

Im pretty sure I have heard the new theatre being built at Crossiron Mills is supposed to include a "large" arcade...this was about a year ago that I heard this so maybe it has changed

We had a Lasy Illusions here as well in Saskatoon.

All of our Arcades have shut down besides Ruckers as well.. I think we still have one on Campus but it is budget.

Dave & Busters I have heard is a really good time from multiple people. I'd like to check it out some day.

This thread is just another reason why someone should give me $1M so I can bring Scandia to Calgary.

Last time I was down there (a few months ago) it still was. Weather or not it was actually open I'm not sure. That place was always a little sketchy. I never bothered to stop in there.
