Win or loss goes to the goaltender who plays the majority of the game. So say you get pulled after the first period and your replacement wins they get the win.
Yes Ramo gets the loss.

That makes sense. He doesn't deserve it though.

I want to be mad about this loss but I can't it was a great game against a great team. I do agree with posters about changing the lines though, also though poirier and ferland had great games. I never
thought I would be happy to see a 6 day break from flames hockey the guys need a break.

3 goals and an empty net goal in 3 games on this road trip so far.
The offense is drying up.
Several forwards tonight were completely invisible.
The D and Ramo kept this from being a complete route.
All 3 D pairings stepped up, the forwards were lacking confidence and played like passengers expecting the D to carry all the play.
Frequently the D was trying to break out and there was no motion by wingers or center.
This happened on a repetitive basis from the 1st and 2nd lines.
These late comebacks have been covering some glaring problems.
They look stale and predictable even Johnny has been looking more predictable.

I think the Flames fans need a break just as much. All this trade deadline talk gets aggravating.

My bad. It was mentioned in a a few games back in the broadcast that Saddledome was the oldest after NYI moves. Just parroting. I didn't really do any of my own research.
I would exclude MSG as they have done major renoes. Saddledome has too but not because they had too.

With how the offense has withered out, I think the magic has finally met it's end. This was very close to be yet another shutout.

It goes to the goalie of record when the winning goal is scored. How long a goalie is in the net plays no role in it.

S'alright. FWIW, the dump up north is older as well. (And older than Joe Louis, so I was wrong too.)
But both Edmonton and Detroit have new arenas under construction, so we'll be the oldest soon enough.

Fairly well, I thought, but his time was still limited, as was Engelland and Potter. Hartley pretty much rode Brodie, Wideman and Russell all night.

Sell the farm for Kessel and OEL and we'll be good to go.

So you'd be willing to part with our 1st this year, our 1st next year, and Bennett, Poirier, and more? That's what it would realistically cost.

Brodie's was very impressive. He avoided the mistakes that have plagued his game lately, and was still willing to join rushes even without Gio to back him up. Massive game from #7 tonight.

Recently, Backlund and Glencross have been passing as bad as anyone on the team especially in the offensive zone. They make really low percentage plays from the perimeter a lot, no forwards skating and a lot of standing around.
Backlund's great defensively but not so good offensively. Glencross has obviously phoned it in, he loses the majority of his battles.

First Line Centre

Time to split up Gaudreau and Hudler, other than on the pp. They are getting spanked on the walls by top D pairings, and it would spread some O to other lines.
