A bit of a frustrating game to watch. We seemed to struggle to generate quality scoring changes. Another phenomenal game by ramo that was again wasted. I also thought our D struggled a bit to make up Gios ice time. Wideman in particular looked very low energy as the game wore on.

I would love to see Porier on Johnny's line... lets get some speed on that line.

I agree with the posters that think the first line needs to be broken up. I would actually take that a step further and have Monohan on the second line at this point and have Backlund be our 1st line. Was thinking the same thing last game it just seems they are not quite ready for first line yet.

Oh good. A bunch of idiotic whining about Glencross in a team loss.

I felt like we needed to win 4 of 7 on this trip to have a legitimate shot at the playoffs. We're still able to pull it off, but if we keep playing like cowards, it's not going to happen.

Terrible offensively. This is what everyone predicted the team to look like the whole year.

Rangers and Islanders are two tough teams though so I'm not to worried. Need to string a few wins together here now.

We need to find a way to re-sign Ramo. Trade Hiller in the summer.

Ramo > Hiller

4 of the 8 losses were against Eastern teams (@TOR, @BUF, @PIT, and NYR).

Concedes a total of 3 goals in 3 games and is 1-2 for the trip.

Got to do better for Ramo.

The first line can be broken up if Treliving adds some more punch to the second line. Those guys are better together, and taking one off leaves Mono to the wolves...and the team feeds off the momentum that the first line generates.

I would definitely not include Backlund in that conversation. He is a very smart two way player. That's insulting to even include him with those other names.

Don't say "sigh" on the internets. Le sigh, even worse.

Be strong.

Does anyone have the insight into the stats keeping of the team to the point of knowing whether or not the flames keep track of the amount of offense we generate with specific line combos? I'm curious.

Backlund is soft though. He's always making soft plays. Soft passes, soft forechecking. He has good possession numbers because he's a fast skater, but he's as soft as they come.

Not panicking just yet. Rangers/Islanders are very good teams this year. Two day break, regroup and come out with a W vs Philly.

The most frustrating thing about the teams we've been losing to recently is how they just lay down for the Canucks. Seriously Isles and Rangers - where were those performances against Vancouver?

Disclaimer*** Its Friday on an early game. Rant may be influenced. 6:45 local time.

Gary Galley. Shut the #### up. You were basically a no body when you played. You were the Colby Armstrong of your day we don't care. Your a colour guy for THIS game so focus on this game. Just shut the #### up.

IMO the boys on the back end took another step with out Gio tonight.

I think Mono would be better off without JG because he's that late trailor in front picking up dirty goals. I think 2 wingers to drive in deep would work better for Mono.
