If you want to know what the Giant's players thought about this as well, watch the video and look at how Posey doesn't even run out or try to stop Harper in any way
Yeah I noticed that. Usually the catcher is the first guy running down the batter, Posey didn't even move. Says a lot to me.

Bryce Harper has been suspended 4 games and Hunter Strickland has been suspended 6 games for Monday's brawl.

So the Giants lose Strickland for 1 to 3 innings, Nationals lose Harper for 36 innings/18-20 at-bats.

Nice message.

If you're a batter, don't charge the mound if a pitcher throws a 98 MPH fastball directly at you. If it hit you in the head it could kill you, but that's OK. Just shake it off and don't rush the mound.

If you're a pitcher, go ahead and keep winging fastballs at batters that made you mad or you just plain don't like. The penalty won't be severe, and if he comes after you he's going to get the brunt of the punishment anyways.

After playing 56 games, Astros have a 13 game lead in their division.

I am guessing he loses pay for the 6 games. Not sure if that is a huge amount though or a deterrent at all from throwing at star players.

Scooter Gennett just went 5-5, hit four HRs and had 10 RBIs. Trying to decide what's better, his night at the dish or his name.

According to Wikipedia:

Quote:
Gennett said he adopted the name as a five-year-old fan of the Muppets character Scooter and used it as a permanent alias after his mother, Tina, tried to impart a lesson about buckling his seat belt with a trip to a police station for a lecture.

"I thought I was going to be arrested,” he said. “So, I told the policeman my name was Scooter. After we left there, I didn’t answer to Ryan because I thought if I answered to my real name I’d get arrested.”

He has been Scooter ever since

One of the worst umpires in MLB history sues MLB alleging racial discrimination because he hasn't been promoted to crew chief.

lol I am sure being an absolutely horrid ump has nothing to do with it so it must be racial. What a moron.

This new format is a young mans game. So glad one of our vets aren't there. You could guarantee Donaldson or Bautista would get injured taking so many swings consecutively.

Holy ####. Judge has hit the lights on the roof twice.

Maybe just once. Either way, crazy. And they didn't even count it!
