Stampeders (10-1-1) won their eight straight games last week vs the BC Lions will continue their winning streaks against their arch-rival Saskatchewan Roughriders. They will also continue their 15 consecutive winning streak against the Western Division opponents. Stamps have a 7-3 record against the Riders in Regina since 2010 and they are undefeated since 2014.

Riders(6-5) been hot lately and won 6 games in their last 7 games. They are now sitting in 4th place in the West ahead of the BC Lions. The last time the 2 teams met at McMahon Stadium, the Stampeders won 27-10 with McDaniel and Lemar Durant scoring a TD each. DE James Vaughters and Charleston Hughes produced a combined 5 QB sacks.

OFFENSE:

RB Jerome Messam rushed 28 times for 135 yards and 1 TD the last time they played the Riders on July 22nd. Messam is the CFL's leading rusher this season with 9 majors.
R Marken Michel was in the lineup vs the Riders in their first game had a good game last week catching 5 times for 95 yards and 1 TD catch. Michel did not record a catch on the Riders game but returned some kickoff. Offense will have to contend with the Riders ball hawk Ed Gainey, leading the CFL with 8 INTs this season. Whoever play against Gainey will have to play better.

DEFENSE:

It was a great overall game by Stamps defense last week against the BC Lions. Calgary recorded 4 QB sacks(Singleton, Davis, Johnson and Vaughters each had one sack). Not sure who's in and out, but looks like the Stamps receiving core is still decimated by injury though. Hopefully guys step up.

Yep Stamps still don't have their injured players back. They have Marken Michel, Reggie Begelton, Marquay McDaniel, Juwan Brescacin, Anthony Parker and Julan Lynch.

Would have been a good play if the receiver made that block. McDaniel would have been gone. Not a bad start by Stamps.

Nice catch Reggie Begelton.

Damn, Michel fumbled the ball and recovered by Riders Gainey.

Michel is so frustrating. Has game breaker ability but is constantly making stupid mistakes and running incorrect routes. If he puts it together, he'd be an elite receiver.

Claybrook was fuming!! He had a right to be because Stamps defense are falling for typical dirty plays by Chris Jones coaching team. Need discipline guys.
