Why aren't more foods in tubes?
This needs to be an invention. Like, a portable picnic PB&J tube that is nice and small and doesn't need a knife to use.
I mean... extra waste aside... awesome.
Kinda like how I discovered they do tomato paste in a tube in Europe. I haven't found it here. It'd be nice to add the occasional dollop of savory concentrated taste into recipes. I've seen pesto in tubes, but I'm meh about pesto.

You can buy both peanut butter and jam in tubes. It's been invented.

Tell that to Steve Wilhite who invented the file image format. Then again, he died in 2022 so I guess he received the punishment.

I've looked, but I've never seen it at the places I frequent. Hopefully it shows up and is more ubiquitous going forward.

Sorry, brain fart. I meant a convenient portable version. It was mentioned earlier as being a thing in the MREs, so I am aware it's invented.
Something a little more, "I might actually use this" than some ####ty baker's pipette. Like... those icing sugar things for gingerbread houses are complete garbo. As a kid though, I remember saving some of them and then adding it to sandwiches and cookies at school. Basically like doing dunkaroos but without the extra packaging that actually makes you want to eat it that way.

This is great. The Italian super market on Edmonton Trail/20th Ave sells it in tubes.
I also use anchovy paste in a tube, which you can get at Safeway.

I've seen tomato paste tubes at Co-op, but I only noticed them recently. It's possibly less wasteful because you don't always need a full can.

I'm just thankful you can actually get bigger containers of couscous vs those little sh$tty boxes like everywhere else on earth. I want a big ass bag like rice, not a half serving in a box for $5.

I can't find the thread where someone called Crackmacs racist. From what I remember it's one guy posting that page, and he's native and involved in a lot of street level initiatives. What am I missing with this racist thing?

London Drugs are all closed until further notice, from earlier today.
So what happened? Hacked or something else?

Where's a good place to buy graphic t-shirts these days? threadless.com used to be my go-to for a very long time, but in recent years their quality has taken a nose dive. I have a shirt from them from 5 years ago that still looks new today, but 2 I bought 6 months ago are already completely faded and falling apart

Not clear. All their stores Manitoba west are closed indefinitely. Could be hacked. Could be something else. Definitely a “system” issue though.

CBC reported it was a cyberattack.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...nada-1.7187615
“Retail and pharmacy chain London Drugs says it was the "victim of a cybersecurity incident" Sunday and has shuttered its stores across Western Canada until further notice.”

Who is cyber-attacking London Drugs?

I saw a conspiracy theory that Loblaws is behind it.
There has been a movement to boycott all Loblaws-owned stores for the month of May. Since Loblaws owns Shoppers Drug Mart, London Drugs is a major competitor of theirs across western Canada. If London Drugs closes their stores because of a cyberattack, people may be worried about shopping there, so they'll have to go to Shoppers.
The same conspiracy theory suggests that Save-on-Foods was also hit with an attempted attack last week, but I don't know if that's true.
