Yeah, with my second girl being born yesterday, I feel you. Also, I have two girls next door who are like sisters to my kids. SO. MUCH. DRAMA!

just keep in mind, theory exists there is an early competitive advantage to being born during first 1/4 or the year
http://business.time.com/2012/10/26/...o-be-the-boss/
Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell is a good book on this.
Or, as Gladwell puts it in Outliers,”If you make a decision about who is good and who is not good at an early age; if you separate the ‘talented’ from the ‘untalented’; and if you provide the ‘talented’ with a superior experience, then you’re going to end up giving a huge advantage to that small group of people born closest to the cutoff date.”
All of which raises the question: If being born in June and July augurs poorly for your chances of landing in the corner office, what birth months are most likely to set you up for life as a big cheese? The answer suggests there’s something to the idea that the relative-age effect influences the ranks of CEOs. Four of the five months with the highest percentage of CEOs are within three months of at least some possible academic cut-off date from September 1 through December 31—meaning children born in those months have a higher probability of being among the oldest in their class. The top 5 CEO-producing months are: March (12.53%), April (10.67%), November (10.67%), January (10.13%), October (9.87%).
for Calgary schools the cutoff date for kindergarten and school is March 2. born March 1st or earlier and you're the youngest in class born March 2 you're the oldest

If this is how you define success and happiness and plan to give birth to a child based on this.... You are a sad...sad individual.

watching my kids in sports you can easily pick out the early born kids on the teams.
being an April birth myself I can also attest to the early advantages in my personal experiance

I didn't accuse anyone here of that... I'm simply trying to point out the fact that there are people out there that will read this and will plan births based on it... Which in my opinion is silly.

I don't define success by the month I'm born nor if CEO is attached to my name. My career has very little impact on how I will look back at my life and define it as a success or failure.

Ok, that is fine, you have vocalized how you don't define success, but how do you define success?

That is a loaded question. One that will certainly hijack this thread.
Let's just say I'm still trying to figure that out...I'll let you know when I figure it out. Could be a few more decades until you get the answer however.

Fair enough.
It is something I struggle with as well.
In all seriousness, I am happy to discuss it in PM.

My wife is expecting our second child on May 4th. Poor kid could either be saddled with....May the 4th be with you if the child comes on the due date or lost in the Cinco de Mayo madness if born on May 5th. Supposedly a girl this go round, but as Lonely Island suggested....you could be an 8 year girl by the time the doctor finds your...
Last time I had a kid, bad economy happened and I lost my job. I have a 50% chance of losing my job by the time this one is born, or in the 6 months afterwards. I will take the hint and stop breeding.
