I mean if you had to compete with either Kulak, Andersen and Kyllington or Griffin reinhart who would you choose?

Or on the flip side you could choose to be mentored by Mark Giordano or Oscar 'more important than mcdavid' klefbom, who would you go with?

Am I the only one who would rather sign Stone? The best player in league-x never seems to work out

Not to mention we have a number of guys knocking on the door.

Yeah they would be looking at grabbing this guy to battle for the 3rd pairing not to replace Stone.

Yeah, this would be an engelland replacement if anything. Not a hybrid tough guy like Engelland but would be a suitable #5 replacement

Can't see him choosing Calgary over Edmonton, Chia will promise him top 4 minutes Treliving will promise a look in training camp.

I think that's part of a GM's job. Promising lots without really promising anything.

It would be quite Rutta him to choose Edmonton over Calgary.

Flames have down well in recruiting Czech free agents. Regardless of how they turned out, I think that recent history probably reflects well on the organization for other Czech players looking at a shot.

Rittich got into an NHL game this season, Nakladal got a good look here then parlayed that into another contract (briefly), Pribyl had a decent AHL season. Plus we still have Frolik (and Smid involved in the franchise to some degree).

As a 26 year-old European player, he has to sign a one-year entry-level deal.

If you look at the Nakladal, Rittich, and Pribyl contracts, they all signed for the maximum ELC base salary with maximum signing bonus. Only Nakladal had any performance bonuses on his contract.

That's likely what Rutta will get too.

Guys, Rutta is an average D, don ´t see anything in him. Czech extraleague is really bad.

Do not want, thx.

Greetings from CR!

Go Flames!

I don't want to be negative about this as it could be a decent depth move, but I find it hard to get excited about this when there are more concerning matters such as top 6 scoring and a goaltender to address.

If he signs in Edmonton, does that make him the Rutta of all evil?
