Considering Murray is a cup wining goalie and a goalie that will be playing at a very high level for the next 10-15 years you think long and hard about Bennett plus a first. I wouldn't want that but if that's the only way Murray becomes a flame then management has a tough decision.

I am a little surprised at how many people want Cal Foote. He is a decent prospect, but I just don't see much of a ceiling with him. He has size and he is a RHS, he plays a pretty safe two way game, but I wouldn't say he excelles at either end of the ice. His skating is ok, but it needs work. Basically you are drafting him based on size, being a RHS and his last name.

I would rank rank Makar, Heiskanen, Liljegren, Valimaki and Hague ahead of Foote.

You could make an argument for Foote ahead of Hague as I think Hague has more of a bust factor than Foote, but I also think Hague's ceiling is much higher than Foote's.

The first 4 of those guys wil almost definitely be gone before 16 so if the Flames want a defenseman, they'll probably have their choice of Foote, Hague, Timmins, or Brannstrom.

I hope that Suzuki is available but I'd be fine with any of the d-men, though I'd rather take a forward since I think the forwards in this draft project better than the defense do.

Suzuki might make a good Hudler replacement.

RHS - Center - Wonder if we could develop into a RW/C option. He looks pretty good even at 5'11

Usually Aaron offers an ongoing CP discount since a lot of orders coming from this site - Aaron can you make that happen?

He's pretty slow tho. He's got the hands and edge work to be a high end talent, but at his size, he will be hard pressed beating defenders at slow speeds.

Yeah something about his playstyle is iffy to me. To be honest I prefer Robert Thomas.

I could be wrong, but it looks to me like he's a bit of an awkward stickhandler even though he has some slick moves....

I am hoping for Kole Lind. Every time i see him play, I'm impressed.

I would tale a RHS Baertschi wihout the annoying trade-requesting Swiss agent at 17.

I remember a lot of these same things being said about Manson's kid when he was drafted. I think Foote would be a great add to our group of blueline prospects and fill a gap.

I can't see Foote falling to #16, but if he does, that's my favorite pick. Full package defenseman. Can skate. Has size. Learned the shut down game. Starting picking up the offensive side. He's even a righty.

Suzuki would be a great pick for us if he falls in the draft.
