Genie needs to learn to put those lobs away earlier in the point!
No matter, she wins the set.

Well done, Genie. She regrouped well after that first set scare.

She should be able to get through either of her potential next round opponents. Getting past Kerber after that might be asking a lot, but 4th round is a nice rankings point bump for her.

Genie had flashes of that "all business" look she had on her way up the rankings.
She's back with that coach of course, and it may mean that she has her head screwed on straight though.
That said, that outfit...can't see that being a big seller.

Muller is 2-0 against Milos, so this is going to be a tough 2nd round match.

That's true, however don't discount the mental aspect that can creep into a guy's head knowing that you have never beaten the guy on the opposite side of the net. Also, Muller just won his first ATP title in Sydney last week so he's playing some fine tennis coming into the Aussie Open.

It's an energy gel. It contains electrolytes and carbohydrates. I've never tried them, but apparently they aren't as sweet as energy drinks and achieve the same thing during a changeover/set break.

So, Dick Pound doesn't need to investigate?

New Year’s Genie
http://www.tenniscanada.com/tebbutt-new-years-genie/
“I’m not thinking about the past anymore – the good results, the bad results,” she insisted. “I’m tired of talking about it. I’m tired of thinking about it. For me it’s just about right now and looking forward and trying to be a better player. Trying to be a better player than I was at my best a couple of years ago because everyone improves with every year. So I don’t want to be how I was in 2014 – I need to be better than that right now.”
The future, particularly the immediate future looks bright and full of possibilities at this Australian Open. She plays the uber-erratic No. 35 Coco Vandeweghe on Friday for a spot in the round-of-16. That would likely be against top-seeded Angelique Kerber who has looked remarkably shaky in winning her first two matches in three sets. Beyond that there could be No. 7 Garbiņe Muguruza, who is carrying a leg injury issue, in the quarters and possibly No. 8 Svetlana Kuznetsova, No. 11 Elina Svitolina or No. 13 Venus Williams in the semifinals. None of those players would be beyond Bouchard’s reach given her current form.

Did anyone catch Nick Kyrgios’ epic choke job last night?
He easily won the first two sets but fell apart in the 3rd losing a point for language and then throwing his racket. Then in the 4th set he didn't put in any effort losing 6-1. He managed to rebound in the final set but lost 10-8. The Melbourne fans booed him off the court and this morning the media is ripping him a new one.
So much talent but such an idiot.
