Listening to Carrick tonight. Carrick is the solo project of Carrick Moore Gerety, former frontman of The Push Kings and Everybody Else. I adore him. I saw Everybody Else live once in Harajuku, Tokyo once upon a time.
This dude lives up to the name he gave himself. Truly fantastic!

So Coachella had a chance to book Kate Bush, but declined. What a horrible mistake.
Seeing Kate Bush live is a rare privileged. Beyond being really theatrical she's got such a powerful voice.
This is going to sound weird coming from me, but Miley Cyrus, not her new stuff, not her old kiddy pop stuff, but my girlfriend turned me onto her backyard sessions which are in support for homeless youth.
Her version of jolene was very good
Its like I'm not a huge fan of Lady Gaga, especially her earlier discoy stuff, but You and I, I loved that song because its very blues based for me.

Lately, I have been really trying to get into hip hop, and appreciate it to the fullest extent possible as a high art form. An essay by Mark Greif convinced me that this is probably the most innovative part of the current American culture.
Run the Jewels is very great.
