Take from this as you will, but after watching him play and conversing with some guys whose job is to evaluate players...

He has the surreal capability to know where everyone is on the ice and make the right play ,whether pass or shot, the great majority of the time.

He has the knack of being able to avoid body contact from defenders, by sliding and slipping off them. He almost never takes a solid hit. Again, because of his great vision and instincts.

I won't tell you who he has similarities to...you would laugh.

If I'm guessing I would say Timmy is making comparisons to #99. Vision and ability to avoid contact were his two greatest skills.

I'd guess that as well. There's a reason at the draft they said he's probably the only other guy that can rival RNH's vision and RNH's vision was compared to Gretsky's quite a bit, so I'd say Timmy isn't the only one who's reminded of 99 by Gadreau.

I was thinking Tanguay.

If he turned into either one, I'd be pretty happy.

I love the fact that Weisbrod implied the Bruins were pissed when we selected him.

I wonder where he'd go today in the draft. 3rd round? As high as 2nd?

His edgework on his skates is comparable to Crosby's. Is that who you are referring to? Now we just need him to grow 4 inches and add 50 pounds.

who on CP do we need to sacrifice to the hockey gods to have Gaudreau live up to one of these comparisons?

The NCAA Frozen Four qualifying tournament starts today for Boston College. They are the top ranked team going into the tournament.

Right now, it's the First Intermission and BC leads Air Force 1-0 (no points for Gaudreau or Arnold).

I've been watching the second period, and while Gaudreau does not have any points in the game, he seems to be making something happen every time he touches the puck, and is an exciting player to watch.

How does Gaudreau compare to a player like Ennis?

Why do they call periods "halves"? 3 halves make 1.5 wholes.

Edit: Either this is what they actually do, or they only play two 30 minute periods and the game is over.
