Anyone know where can I find free use pictures of DT Calgary skyline?
I'm looking for something to put on my website, but don't want to buy an image. Preferably a good night shot. Along the lines of the pic AFireInside just posted a couple posts up.

I believe Wikipedia files are public domain, but I'm no lawyer.

You can also try Flickr and see what you can find with a Creative Commons license without the non-commercial tag. I think you might even be able to search by license.

Wikicommons is a great place to search for anything with a creative commons license. Here's a search on Calgary:

To use CC material you have to credit the author and link back to the original source.

hey cp
i've got a question - does anyone know what is attached to the top of the camera pictured below. this was one of the official photographers for the young stars tournament that just wrapped up yesterday. just curious as to what it is... it looks like it's got some sort of 'antenna' at the top and attaches to the camera where you'd attach a flash. is it a light meter/sensor or something?

It would trigger flashes in other locations in the venue when he presses the shutter trigger.

They are free....
You can search flickr or other photos sites as well for creative commons content.

I didn't suggest it initially because searching Calgary will get you a ton of stuff, but if you're going to be picky or are looking for something really specific, it's a good resource.

Yep. Cowperson is right. It's a remote trigger for the strobes in the rafters.

lol thats the 'cool' thing these days here. Remember Iceland has only cement homes, they are so much damn work to build.
Same house in the background in the dark, looks really cool with the lighting, especially when it will all be finished.
