As much as Bichette has to get an out on that ground ball you can't hit the number 9 batter in the line-up with someone already one first. Then Bassit put in right over the middle of the plate...

I must not have been watching closely enough; could have sworn Biggio was walked right before Springer hit the HR.

Totally. Whenever the 8 and 9 hitters get on you're asking for trouble. Classic Rays just taking advantage of it.

More Rays baseball. Infield singles and poor defense. So you just know theyre not going to miss this opportunity. God I hate that team.

Buck said it best. Bassitt has only made one really bad pitch. And that was the grand slam. Just unlucky.

Unlucky? I like Buck but the guy was clearly fighting for control this game. He certainly got tagged on that one pitch but was throwing outside the zone a ton when he worked a good count to start. There’s certainly some bad defensive plays but it was not a strong game at all by Bassitt.

Losing on the road saves the bullpen an inning!

First inning, done. 6 pitches. The one thing they could’ve improved from last year is to wait for your pitch and to be patient. Haven’t really seen that so far. I also want to see them more like Tampa in being aggressive in the bases. Still early but it really does look like the same approach as last year.

Is it just me or does Curtis Mead have the look of a face you want to punch. Kind of reminds me of Vedurgo.

Also Bo man get your stuff together
