No doubt Roger was injured all tournament, lessor men would have retired or lost earlier. Nadal will be a huge underdog on Friday he needs to play the match of his life to have a shot. The crowd on Friday will be like a Spain Argentina world cup final. I hope who wins between Nadal Delpo goes on to win the final in 3 easy sets, especially if it's Rafa

Well done to del Potro! He really kept his composure in that tiebreak during the third set.

Congrats Rafa, I guess.

At least I won't have to get annoyed by that crowd anymore. Good lord, shut the hell up between serves.
Last time they played at the US Open Rafa got spanked by Delpo, it is no guarantee by any means

Del Po's game really matches up well with Nadal. If I was a Nadal fan, I wouldn't particularly like this result.

Well if saying Rafa has already won the tournament is one end of the hyperbole scale, this would obviously be the other one. Del Potro has been the better player this tournament, but Rafa has been the better player all year. It should be like the match we just saw, a tight match that will come down to a few points and who plays them better.

Shoutout to Senator clay Davis for getting me on the Del potro train at +1600 last week. He's been a riot to follow.

An all-American women's semifinal, when's the last time that happened at the U.S. Open?

It's hilarious that they count Navratilova as an American.

Also, I very much doubt that Nadal will do what Federer just did, and the final is a cakewalk, so I'm pretty confident with my prediction.

Very open and honest presser by Roger yesterday wish more athletes were this open, hope he never retires. He confirms his remaining schedule will be Laver Cup, Shanghai, Basel, Paris and WTF, so that is 4,000 points and if Rafa wins the US Open he will be up on Roger by 1,800 points so the race for year end #1 is not over yet.

Now we just need Delpo to knock off Nadal, and all of /r/tennis will have to be placed on suicide watch.

Tennis fans survived the 2014 Monday final, they can survive anything.

It could have been devastating if some guy would have won that match

heh.

Actually the worst final post-2000 had to be the 2004 French Final between Coria and Gaudio. That was ... interesting.

Wow, Felix just demolished Taro Daniel at the ATP Challenger event in Seville, Spain to the tune of 6-1 6-0 and is into the semi-finals.

The same Taro Daniel who took the first set off Rafa at the US Open? Wow impressive

With that demolition today, Felix enters the top 200 and becomes the youngest player to do so since...Rafa. I wanna not overblow the expectations for him and Denis, but these young men are making it difficult with what they're showing us. Hard to believe Canada has the two brightest young talents in the world, but here we are.

To show how amazing Federer's career has been: if Dennis and Felix combined to have half his career we would all call it a huge success. 9-10 grand slams and 150 weeks at #1 ya I'd take that .
