I don't think that will happen but I do appreciate you giving your reasoning and maybe there is a chance. Thanks!

No problem, wasn't trying to take a jab at you with the Streit comment. To be honest, I didn't even see him in your roster. I saw him in TheScorpions post before he edited it.

What?
Sami Vatanen would go for way way more then a mid round pick.

What do you think an unprotected Sami Vatanen is worth? I'm sure the Ducks would prefer a collection of mid round picks as opposed to losing him for nothing.

The Ducks would get at least a first for Vatanen

At least a 2nd rounder. Or a 2nd rounder + a prospect or two.

Teams would offer then more then a "collection of mid round picks" because multiple teams would want him.
He's a 26 year old very good Top 4 Dman. They don't go for mid-round picks unless only 1 team is bidding.

Evander is bad news for any dressing room. Just ask Byfuglien.

This will not be popular. Are we sowing the seeds for a Flames fan civil war with keep Johnny/trade Johnny camps? This summer could be fun.

Johnny and Mony are our franchise players. There's no way they're going anywhere. If anything, I think it was great for them to experience how much it sucks getting swept. You have to know how to lose in order to win. You don't trade your developing young core pieces.

Taylor Hall is the biggest loser in the NHL, I don't care if he comes with Schneider. Dumb player, takes the last quarter of the year off every season, doesn't play a 200 foot game, and has never had a sniff of the post season at the NHL level. That is before I mention trading away one of the most skilled players in the NHL to get him. Crazy.

Taylor Hall??! hahahahaha The Oilers would have won the trade if they traded him for a 5th rounder.

Not a fan of the 4th line but not sure what else you can do.

Gaudreau/Monahan/Ferland
Tkachuk/Backlund/Frolik
Jankowski/Bennett/Versteeg
Bouma/Stajan/Lazar
This is the forward group I see. Brouwer ends up in LV and nobody is trading for Stajan or Bouma given their contracts.
Gio/Hamilton
Brodie/Stone
Andersson/Bartkowski
Kulak
Bart has played well enough as a 5-6 guy and Rasmus is ready. Kulak stays as the extra and Stone is back.
Fleury
Johnson
It was rumoured earlier this year that Fleury had Calgary as one of the teams he would not move to. I think Fleury at this point just wants a starting role on a team that isn't basement material. As much sense as it makes for him to force the Pens to buy him out I don't think that is happening. He has a great relationship with the organization and I think he will waive to come here. Even if he does get bought out his choices will be very limited, actually probably to two teams, Dallas and Calgary. I think Dallas has their sights on Ben Bishop. If he accepts the trade here on his current contract it becomes almost a perfect timeline with two years left and Gillies/Parsons in the wings. Johnson is a more than adequate backup who will come back on the cheap while Gillies hones his craft in the AHL.
