Give it back, Frau Merkel. You don't get to collect your severance package until after you lose an election.

I was thinking the same thing. Just roll it away.

I want to see the coke machine that's designed to take that coin.

There are several of them and it sounds like a good investment, as long as it doesn't get stolen. At the ROM there were lots of people looking at it and taking pictures, so a bit of a tourist draw?

Here is my photo of the other side

The Canadian Mint made 5 of these coins to commemorate their starting to produce gold coins that were 99.999% pure gold. The previous standard being 99.99%

One of the coins was on loan to the museum in Berlin.

Not a challenge for 2 people to carry/roll out a door, Probably even doable for 1 fairly strong person.

Getting it up a ladder and out a window would be a bit more challenging.

I think Bowling would be a lot more fun with $4M coins.

Your aim had better be good.

2. The RCM puts a great deal of effort into showing off how awesome it is. So they probably loaned this one out essentially as advertising. Keeps citizens interested in buying their specialty coins and countries interested in contracting the production of their coinage out to the RCM.

I heard that one of the 5 coins was bought by a Saudi who made it into a coffee table (no joke).

For $4million you figure they would at least have the maple leaves face the right way.

Was it the second post in this thread, aka the 1st reply, that reminded you of the trillion dollar bill episode of the Simpsons?
