Sorry for the stolen joke but....when Van Persie came to United, he wore number 20 because he wanted to help secure the 20th title. Pogba came to United and wore number 6, because, well, you know, 6th place.

I can't see 10 for Mings because he didn't appear to have the intent to get him. It's obviously hard to know, but that was my thought on watching the replay. Zlatan made a specific attempt to throw that elbow though, and its painfully obvious.

They are rightly so a bunch of pissed off supporters. Except for Ty who must be on medication.
Dropping Sanchez to the bench in a top 4 game has got to be one of the most baffling managerial decisions of the season.
Gonna be interesting at The Emirates on Tuesday.

Fixed that for you.
It's as pathetic as it is predictable.

Mings and Zlatan charged for violent conduct, as expected. Mings probably facing a longer ban based on:
Furthermore, the FA has submitted a claim that the standard punishment that would otherwise apply for the misconduct committed by the Bournemouth defender is 'clearly insufficient'.

With a pending suspension to Zlatan, I think this is where we see what Rooney is made of.
Does he step up, and start potting them? Or is it more of the same? If the latter, just reinforces his time is done.

the most damning thing is that I still wouldn't start Rooney.
-----------Rashford
Martial---Mata---Mkhitaryan
------Pogba-----Herrera
or
-----------Rashford
Martial----------------Mkhitaryan
------Pogba-----Herrera
-------------Carrick
I think those games are huge for Rashford. He's played a lot of wing this year, giving him those games as a striker is crucial for his development IMO.

Agreed on his development, does Mourinho have the sack to say, "Rooney you're 3rd string?"
Yes? Then this is the start of his public exit from the club.

Has to be rashford starting
Rooney is at best complimentary, I'm kind of surprised he hasn't played midfield more this year in a deeper lying role
Also in United news, as sport which has a decent reputation in Spain is saying greizzmann wants to stay another season

then he should. I really don't want another di Maria situation, so if he doesn't really want the move then I hope they just back off and spend the money elsewhere. Rumour has it that Jose wants three new players and two of those should be attacking players, so it'd always be Griezmann plus a "real" striker anyway (which makes sense, given that Rooney is pretty much gone and Ibra has only a year left or so).
If Griezmann stays put, I hope they go for something like Kylian Mbappe (Monaco) + Moussa Dembele (Celtic). Would probably cost more than €100m combined, but those are stunning talents and they'd be set up front for years.

It's only two or three more months before Neymar will be getting his annual link the United. But in all seriousness, why not take a run at Gabiadini? He has been pretty damn impressive since coming to Southampton.

missed this earlier. I think we're long past the "start of his public exit", given that he's started a single league game since late December and Mourinho basically set up everything for his departure to China. The real question is how to set the team up to be the best, and the reality is that Rashford is the better choice up front and there are at least four or so choices ahead of him in attacking midfield.
