A pardon will be useless in Trump protecting himself. The FBI will already have built the case for charges, meaning they will have evidence of wrong doing. With the FBI coordinating with state AGs, the ability to pardon goes out the window as well. The FBI can build the case, share the evidence with the states, files charges at both federal and state level, and watch the dominoes drop. Mueller is building a case that will not only end Trump as President, but end Trump and his businesses. Trump may be able to prevent himself or his cronies from going to prison on federal raps, but they will all have had their assets seized and left flat bust. Then the state will step in and start laying charges and seize what crumbs are left. This is going to be entertaining to watch unfold.
I do wonder about Trump's base (which is a fair number of evangelical Christians) and how they will take this? Will they bluster about civil war and do nothing? Will there actually be civil unrest? Will they just welcome Pence as a 'sane' (it is relative) alternative and be grateful?

How is it possible that he doesn't have an internet browser on his phone? Can you delete that?
He's apparently still using his old unsecure Android phone, so they probably deleted it, hopefully they loaded custom firmware so beef up its security or something.
I don't think he'd use it anyway, he gets people to print out webpages so he can read them.

The Justice Department said in a court filing Friday evening that it has no evidence to support President Donald Trump's assertion in March that his predecessor, Barack Obama, wiretapped the phones in Trump Tower before last year's election.
"Both FBI and NSD confirm that they have no records related to wiretaps as described by the March 4, 2017 tweets," the department's motion reads. NSD refers to the department's national security division.
The motion came in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by a group pushing for government transparency, American Oversight.
