Would be nice to pad the division lead and still have 2 games in hand. Last night the Heat vastly outplayed the Monsters, but the Lake Erie goalie had a helluva game.

If the Heat play like that again, they will hopefully come away with the 2 points.

Still not sure how I feel about Irving being at the bottom of the goaltending pile.

I'm aware that there are issues regarding the number of pro games he plays, an the whole 'meritocracy' deal, but I'd probably be happier with him only having to outplay ONE goalie to get ice time, rather than needing to outplay two vets with whom the coach is clearly comfortable and possibly more willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

But I'm also very impressed with Troy Ward in basically every other respect. And starting goalies are getting easier to come by these days.

Brust before last night had the same number of starts as Irving. If Irving starts tonight, which I think he will, they will be even in starts again.

I think Ward is very comfortable with all of his goaltenders.

Brust's stat-line is awesome. I know it's only 3 games, but that's some crazy stuff regardless.

95.9% on the PK is incredible

To add to that they have more SHG for (3) than PPGA (2)

Brust has more hits this year than goals allowed.

To bad he didn't get that empty netter. He would have as many goals scored as he let in.

Oh well. He still has as many points (1 assist) this season as goals against.

Suprised it is Brust in again tonight. I though for sure we would see Irving on a back to back night game.
