^^^^ Im sure the cocktail of meds he is on following all these surgeries will come up as a defense by ardent fans. Curious if they have a blood alcohol level, as that doesn't lie. Either way, more damage done to his image and brand, regardless of the spin.

edit- guess I am assuming alcohol, but it doesn't specify. Could be alcohol, street drugs, or prescription drugs.

Geez. His big blow up was all the way back in 2009?

That's crazy. Where does the time go?

Hard to believe he hasn't won a major since before that happened too.

Has any athlete ever crashed and burned as hard as Tiger? What a train wreck.

I had a feeling this DUI wouldn't be related to alcohol:

http://www.tsn.ca/report-woods-aslee...rrest-1.765103

Given the story, his explanation makes sense. But still a sad story.

DeLaet 5 under through 14 today. Takes him to a t-7 thus far, with the leaders early in their round. Graham about to tee off on the Par 5 15th, so another potential birdie hole.

Brooke falling back thus far today. Started t-8 and is now 23rd.

aaand Graham puts one in the water and drops 2 strokes.

Too bad because the leaders are struggling and coming back to the pack. He'll likely end up with a top 15, but it could easily have been a top 5 today.

There was only one round better than DeLaet's 68. He had a good week at a tough course.

Jack said the greens were running at 14 which is 'slow'....

First round of the US Open today and scores look to be quite low so far. That's a little disappointing to me, as I enjoy this tournament for its difficulty and scores around even par. I love seeing Els coming out strong.

Scores are always a little lower on the first day when the set up isn't as brutal. Only thing is the wet weather over the next few days will slow things down and possibly make things even easier.

Adam Hadwin with six straight birdies at one point in his round today, finishes with a 68 and is T7 just three strokes behind leader Rickie Fowler.

Don't forget to check out the LPGA leaderboard as well.

Brooke is the leader after round 1, shooting a blistering 63. Another Canadian, Jennifer Ha, is tied in a group 1 shot back.

Brooke just birdied 3 in a row to take a 4 stroke lead in the second round through 12. She's 5 under for the day, -13 overall.

Maude-Aimee Leblanc is at -4 today through 14, and -3 overall to jump 55 spots to T40.

Other Canadians are Jennifer Ha and Alena Sharp who have unfortunately dropped 6 and 3 shots respectively to fall to -1, which is the current cut line.

Hadwin had a solid round going today until he was informed he was being put on the clock for slow play. He then proceeded to double-bogey the next hole. Still, he sits at -2 going into the weekend.

Brook finishes bogey bogey to end up with a 2 shot lead.

Leblanc goes -6 in her second round and is in a t-20, so a 70 spot jump in the tourney.

Jennifer Ha on the other hand goes from 2nd to missing the cut with an ugly +9.

Sharpe also made the cut.

Course is playing so easy right now it just makes it that much more surprising how awful Dustin, Jason Day and Rory were this week.

Wow Thomas reached the 666 yard 18th in 2 and made Eagle to finish with 63.

That is a pretty amazing round. His tee shot on 15 was awesome and it is a shame he didn't make an eagle there.

Also, I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but The coverage on Fox is horrible. These guys just don't know how to do golf coverage.

Coverage on Fox not good. With the scores and the leaderboard feels like I'm watching the John Deere classic. Usually pretty excited about watching Sunday of the US Open but not so much this time.

Wind will finally be a factor today, and the two closest former major winners are eight shots back, so it could be a pretty wild and wide open final round. FOX's coverage might be garbage, but it should still be a final round worth watching regardless.
