on a different note: great to see Wayne Rooney working really hard to get in shape for the new season. What a role model he is for professional athletes everywhere.

Spoiler!

Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe has completed a free transfer to Bournemouth on a three-year deal, the Cherries have announced.

Defoe, 34, scored 15 goals in 37 Premier League appearances last season but could not prevent Sunderland from being relegated.

Goddammit.....We're never going to beat Bournemouth.

Sunderland striker and former Liverpool legend Fabio Borini is signing with AC Milan.

His WhoScored profile is awesome. What a great player.

Man City face a possible transfer ban for allegedly breaching rules when signing a young player from Argentina.

Quote:
Manchester City face the prospect of a transfer ban if they are judged to have broken rules around the signing of a foreign teenage player at a court case due to be heard next week.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will convene on Monday to hear Argentine club Velez Sarsfield’s claims that City acted unethically by approaching Benjamin Garré when he was still 15 and then flouted transfer rules by signing the attacking midfielder when he turned 16.

Fifa rejected an initial complaint from Velez last September which prompted the club to take City and the world governing body to CAS. If Velez win their case, City could be banned from registering players for two transfer windows.

Bournemouth are doing a heck of a job this summer. After signing Jermain Defoe and Asmir Begovic, they have now signed Nathan Ake on a permanent transfer. The fee is gross (around 20m), but he was really good for them on loan last season.

They are also set to get a new stadium with more than 20,000 seats in 2020.

Everton officially sign Michael Keane for up to £30m. They have been busy spending the (still theoretical ) Lukaku cash.

£25m+£5m for Jordan Pickford
£25m+£5m for Michael Keane
£23m for Davy Klaassen
£7m for Henry Onyekuru
£5m for Sandro Ramirez

still chasing Gylfi Sigurdsson, too. Probably selling Lukaku and Barkley.

Why does he want to manage that tire fire?
This is late but I wouldn't exactly call Palace a tire fire... they've been up for a while, they have very wealthy owners, their catchment area in south London is massive and they have a solid roster to build on with some good pieces like Zaha, Benteke and Dann. If they can ever get the Selhurst Park redevelopment done and get that stadium up to 35k or so I think they could be a permanent PL club. Granted they are not in the nicest neighborhood and Selhurst is run down but when you look at some of the tiny cities in the Premier League these days I think a club like that that's been up for a few years now based and is based in London is well positioned.

Alex Sandro to Chelsea seems almost done

Really building up that squad depth to play twice a week next season

Oh man I hope not. Juventus needs to stop clubs that are equal or bigger than them from poaching their players! Also the fact most of our success in the last campaign stemmed from the great play of our full backs, this would be an enormous blow.

Rooney to Everton seems to be happening. Kind of sad how happy this would make me (and almost every other United fan).

How about Everton though. I know Rooney is past his best before date, but they're basically buying everyone. I kind of like what they're doing with a couple of these moves.
