I don't see much truth behind this rumour, mostly due to the fact that I can confirm Orange Julius does not sell bud lattes.

And Smokey always says "Only you can prevent forest fires". Kids love Smokey.
Uh oh. Where there's Smokey there's fire? I think this may be true!

Bennett slept with my wife, so the whole team wants him traded.
That's because the whole team wants to sleep with my wife!
Edit: that's how it's done, right?

Bennett heard the whole team slept with your wife and left him out. Now he wants a trade.

Friedman on 960 says that he now thinks Toronto has revoked permission and Dubas will stay after he broke this report.
He also said that he is pretty sure that some people in Colorado were unaware that the Avs were interviewing Dubas (implying that the Avalanche were going behind some people in the front office's back).

Shero says the plan is to keep Schneider:
http://www.northjersey.com/story/spo...ero/348394001/
Quote:
5. I asked Shero whether he felt there were any “untouchables” on his roster regarding potential trades. He basically laughed that notion away, given the Devils’ finish last season. Interestingly, he brought up goalie Cory Schneider unprompted as part of his answer, saying the plan is for Schneider to remain with the Devils and that’s what both player and organization want. But Shero also quickly noted plans can change as swiftly as one phone call. Like, for instance, when the Oilers call up to ask what it would take to get Adam Larsson and quickly acquiesce to you asking for Taylor Hall. Not sure what kind of market there is for Schneider now that the Stars have signed Ben Bishop, maybe the Flames? But I wouldn’t put any trade past Shero this summer.

Friedman on 960 talking about Pickard as a candidate for the Flames. Says that a lot of people's minds were changed about him after the world championships.
Also said that MAF really wanted to go to Dallas but that option isn't there anymore. Says unless some deal is worked out with Calgary, MAF will end up in Vegas.

I am still unclear why Friedman thinks Fleury will end up in Vegas. Has it been confirmed that he has agreed to waive his NMC for the expansion draft or is it speculation?
Also, when a player agrees to waive his NMC for the expansion draft, is this done in writing? I ask this cause now that Bieksa is injured, could he now invoke his NMC because he is not eligible for a buyout?

Nothing confirmed. Nick Kypreos apparently has an inside scoop on a pre-existing deal between Pittsburgh & Vegas that will see Fleury moved there prior to the draft.

Andy Strickland has also heard this, and plenty of others have chimed in that they've heard similar rumblings.

So ............. That means it is possible that Jim Rutherford is aware of the upcoming expansion draft, has been in communication with with the involved parties and has a plan in place? Wow. That's not at all what I have been reading on CP for the last year.

Get the sense that Fleury doesn't want to deal with the pressure of a Canadian market.

I think a lot of players feel that way honestly. Can't blame them either really.
A lot of overzealous fans in these markets that turn on a dime when things don't go so well and seem to be very vocal about it.

Yah I don't think it's the fans opinions of them that sways them. It's media and not being known while out on the town.
