So awesome that legendary U of A coach 87 year old Clare Drake is being admitted.
Pioneer in modern concepts , principles and tactics that are prevalent in modern NHL coaching today.
Brilliant man and way overdue.

Another relatively weak class on the whole, though at least this year there's a first ballot guy.

Once again Fleury is out in the cold. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
- Captain of the 1988 Gold medal Canadian Junior team
- Stanley Cup Champion
- Flames leading scorer for 6 season (2 seasons of 100 pts)
- second team all star selection
- 7 all-star games
- Olympic Gold Medal
- over 1000 points - a point-per-game player over his career
Does anyone even remember Karyia's time in the NHL? idd he ever win anything? And Andrychuck - the "old-guy" on a cup winner - score power play goals and you are in I guess. (Though Fleury is top 50 overall).
With guys like Duhatschek & Burke on the committee and Lanny guiding them, what will it take for Fleury & Vernon to get in?

You must be joking. Paul Karina twice scored +100 points in an era of stifling defence and an emphasis on obstruction. He suffered through several injury plagued seasons as a result of the NHL's refusal to implement their own rules, and he was easily one of the most dynamic and skilled players of his era.

Pretty weird statement for someone who gave us one of the most memorable moments in Stanley Cup Final History.
I don't necessarily disagree with you about Fleury being more deserving than this class. Even Mark Recchi, who easily has the career totals (not to mention a medical degree!) to be deserving of a HOF spot and thus no real surprise, was at no time in his career the best player on any team he played on, IMO.
