But damn did it feel good to get my only hit in the game as a walk off home run in the 8th.
When do you hit a walk off home run in the 8th?

maybe it's because i'm not used to it, but i really really really really suck in the demo at pitching and only decent on hitting (already adjusted the difficulty to veteran)

I couldn't get out of the first inning because I couldn't throw a strike.... I must be doing something wrong, but there is no tutorial for analog pitching on the demo so I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've been holding down the stick and then releasing it when it hit's the yellow line...... is there more to it that that?
I haven't seen the pitching one yet, it may or may not be out there, but if you look at these video's you can see where the meter is supposed to be on the analog.
Personally, I had no problem with how the game played before, so I just switch to meter pitching and zone batting in the demo (Gameplay Options).

Drove to Brampton Friday night to pick up my copy and damn is this game awesome. Didn't have a whol ton of time to play over the weekend, but man whn I did, I was in baseball heaven.
As I noted in the demo, the game is just so much smoother. Things you didn't even think were brokwn last year were improved. The OF'ers actually play like the are supposed to, guys who shoudl get to balls get to balls, but guys like Soriano either misjudge, play bad angles or just flat out miss balls. There is more room for gappers, balls go over OF'ers heads. Much more life like.
Now I am at work and all I want to do is go home and play, gotta get as much done as I can, as fast as I can and get to my PS3, LOL. I have tomorrow off as I rarely have luck getting a game early, so I planed to be home on release day.
I will try to post some more impressions this afternoon or tonight.
i must not be getting the batter stride timing right because it seems all i do is foul balls off or hit weak grounders. going to try rookie difficulty to see if it helps >.<
The mode I play the most is RttS, I am mostly wondering about player creation, and training points Do you get more points to start off with, so I can have a good amount of speed, power etc? Or is it like before have to really work on my way up?
I'm going to pick it up today. Just curious though, how many people would be interested in an online season/franchise? (not sure what the options are). The show has always been my favorite sports game, and if the online play isn't too bad with lag I think a short online season could be a lot of fun.
Well, took me a while to get going, made some top prospects, added music to most of the players on the 25 man rosters. Great addition this year in that music follows the player, not just the roster set, so only have to add music once.
Finally got down to a franchise, 3 games in (work, wife and two little ones prevent me playing as much as I would like) and throughly whooped by the Twins. Lost a pitcher's dual in the opener, myself as the Jays ace 1-0. Got creamed the next game 12-3. Lost 4-1 last night.
Playing on default All-Star. Batting in the .170's as a team, ERA around 5.50. The thing is, I actually can hit. Played a couple exhibition games and hit well, especially in a 14-10 win over the Brewers, had 17 or 18 hits in that one.
Also, in my first attempt at the second gam of the series I was in a slugfest, down 11-9 in the 10th inning, I had hit 3HR and 4 or 5 2B, just struck a guy out to get out of the 10th and my PS3 got the red light of death. Found a guy to fix it, but obviously lost that game, replaced it with the 12-3 pounding.
Oakland will feel my wrath after what the Twins did to me. Cecil pitches next.
