Default Need to open a .Numbers file in Windows

I know Excel won't open the file I need, however will OpenOffice?

Aside from waiting until the university Mac Lab opens tomorrow, is there a way I can convert the file from .numbers to .xls?

If it's something you're comfortable emailing, someone here can open it in Numbers and export it to an xls for you. I'll be home around 6pm if you can wait that long or can't find anyone else to help out.

Thanks guys, it's not my work so I wouldn't feel comfortable e-mailing it to someone else. But I do appreciate the offer.

I'll wait until tomorrow when the Mac Labs are open at the university (who only has them open from 1-5 on weekends? or only have two labs with Macs in them?)

This: http://www.zamzar.com/ can allegedly convert office file formats online.

Not saying this is any safer than letting one of us resident geeks do it for you, but I guess it is more anonymous by virtue of being online and presumably automated.

Interesting concept though.

Edit: this actually worked - I got the results back about 10 minutes later. I didn't try a spreadsheet with formulas (I will now..I'm intrigued), but it definitely worked.

I use zamzar from time to time as well. I don't trust it with anything work related (of importance) but it generally works ok. I think it was the service I used to convert a visio file to a jpeg once.
