Microsoft Corp said on Wednesday it has sold more than 10 million Kinect motion-sensing game system units worldwide in just over four months, making it the fastest-selling consumer device on record.

See what happens when you make something that doesn't completely suck and shows a little bit of innovation Microsoft?

I got one for Christmas, and I haven't used it since December 25th.

There is not a single game out yet that would make me want to fire it up.

I was going to ask if people actually play it still when they don't have people over? My Wii is collecting dust now but it got a lot of use when friends would come over.'

Too bad your friends don't like you anymore.

I'll take your Wii though.

This has wii written all over it. Tons will own it, few will actually buy any games for it (my prediction).

I'm scared of what you'd do with a Wii if you had one.

You are probably correct. Personally I think the tech is ahead of it's time. It's shiny, and a glimpse of the future. But it's still too buggy, slow and intrusive. It has to get to the point where it is seamless and intuitive before it becomes accepted. Current technology is not quite there yet.

That's one step further than me. I have an Xbox 360 and Kinect sitting beside my TV in their boxes, been there for over 2 months. PS3 gets used a few times a week, I just can't find a reason to open the 360.

I use it quite frequently. It's fun to have bowling and the oympics games with a few people over while having some drinks. We also use it to communicate (and play games while talking) with my parents and my spouses parents back in Calgary.

I agree they need more games - more adult\less wii-type games but for the price I paid for it I have no complaints. I sold my wii which hasnt even been touched in years and it covered my kinect and some jalapeno poppers for a snack.

I like and my kids like. My 4 year old can play without the need for buttons. It is fun to play with a group of people of the family.

It's going to end up the same way as the Wii...there's just no way to be accurate enough with it for much else.

The only thing I'm looking forward to with Kinect is Child of Eden.

does anyone just want to be lazy when they play games? I have zero motivation to move around when I am playing, I have the feeling most people who actually buy the games feel the same. Who goes home at night and plays a kinect game on their own?

I think it depends on the game. Sure there are days where I just want to veg out on the couch and not move where I would play NHL or something, but some days I don't mind moving around, especially if the weather out side sucks or something and im feeling a little restless.

How much do you want for the 360?

Ive played Kinect sports a few times, the dance game is fun with some friends and beers.

I would probably use it 10% of the time.

mostly, my kids use it. kinectimals, kinect adventures, and kinect sports are the faves. we have dance central but it doesn't get played much.

i use it less than i thought...although you can work up a good sweat when playing some of the games in adventures and sports. i think my wife would play the fitness game.

mine is just not accurate enough for me.

Yep, I was very disappointed with the responsiveness and how it would get confused or not recognize my movements.

Maybe it will improve with new software, but as it is now this thing is a grade A bust IMO. I hate to admit it, but the Playstation Move looks more intriguing. The gun apparatus is highly appealing.
