Quite a few outlets and pundits had the Flames out of the POs in their predictions:

That was Marky, not Huska

I think I've never been so indifferent towards a game lol.

There are game 82s on the schedule where I've felt more than this one last night.

It would be nice to insert more youth or something to at least provide some interesting storylines.

Or just more Wolf starts.

Marky has been the MVP, but the team was mostly competitive infront of him. It's not like he was playing behind a tire fire all season.

The season has really been in 3 parts.
1) A bad start where maybe Huska was trying to implement his system and it took time. Markstrom carried some bad team outings in this stretch.
This was bad hockey.

2) The majorty of the season between that and the UFA trades where the team was competitive and likely a playoff team if they did that over 82. For about 40 games the team was reasonably good.

3) The post UFA trades (particularly Tanev/Hanifin) where we are icing a large portion of AHL talent and things are going to look bad.

I really look at phase 2 for what Huska could do with this team, and he did as good or slightly better than the roster would expect.
