If they had, then maybe Pitts goes to the final, but they would very likely lost in the same spectacular fashion. In a way the Leafs did you a favour by saving the humiliation of losing in the Cup final.
The Pens were absolutely awful, maybe the worst I've ever seen a team in the 3rd round.

Chara is the best Defenceman in the NHL. Not even close.

And frankly, that team getting only 2 goals in a four game series is a bigger debacle than the Leafs collapse.

Shero should get a lot of blame also. Heading into the deadline the Pens biggest need was a top D man. Instead he spent assets on the 3 slowest players available.

This was so decisive its shocking. With all the talent in Pitts its pretty hard to comprehend. Goaltending is an issue for the Pens, but their total inability to score this series... its hard to understand.
I would have been happy with either team coming out of this round, but wow, poor Iggy. He's been relegated to such an extent... he really hurt his career with this trade. I hoped for better for him.

Nobody could of predicted this though. Most expected the Penguins to get to the finals this season. Bruins haven't won the cup yet so whether or not Iggy made a bad decision is debatable.

It is unfortunate that Iggy chose Pittsburgh, but that was his call alone. The Flames wanted the Boston deal. Iggy may have lost his second great chance at a Cup. 2004 and 2013. Not sure how many more chances he gets.

Will Crosby face any criticism for his pathetic play this series or will he be given a pass because he might have been not fully healthy?

Will be interesting to see what story lines come out of this. If Crosby is injured (I'm sure he's not 100% either way) then it was up to someone like Iginla to step up. No one did, to a man a team of wimps honestly.

I'm sure he'll be the first to blame himself.
