This looks like the place for this:

The Flying V!!!! When did Gordon Bombay start coaching the Oilers?

Also, I doubt it was truly "spontaneous" - the whole thing seemed quite practiced.

Got too give kudo's to Edmonton, that crowd looked jacked and totally into that game. I bet it was a fun game to be at.

that was as spontaneous as the contrived reactions on a Reality show.

How is this any different than everyone creamin over Karlsson doing his celebrations on the ice?

I hate the Oilers and Yakupov but this board would be asking for signatures to be made if Baertschi had done that.

The guy is a rookie and probably now an instant fan favorite in Edmonton. It's not like he went up to the Kings bench and taunt them. At least these kids show excitement to their fans, while the Flames quite honestly are a boring team and more than 90% of the time, a pin drop can be heard at the dome.

it was turbo over the top. i was at hudsons on campus at the u of a and i honestly couldnt stop laughing. people had tears running down their faces after his goal. truly one of the wierdest things ive ever witnessed for a reg season game. it was a huge goal, and an emotional celebration, but it was way over the top.

toothless grins have never been so wide.

Because Karlsson never went skating through a mob of his teammates to go sliding halfway down the ice on his knees to celebrate?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Stoll's reaction around 8:15 mark... lol

Wasn't there one game where he made that hot dog move celebration for every goal he stopped in the shoot out.

To be honest, would you really be this pissed if Baertschi tied the game up against the Ducks the other night and celebrated like this?

I wouldn't, and I'd call Sven or whoever on that.

The most telling part is the skate away from his team to showboat solo to the crowd. This guy reaks of me first.

Which is all good, until either he doesn't get his ice time, or Oil starts losing again. Then well see this stereotypical Russian attitude this guy displays come right out.

My guess, this guy is traded within the next few years for much needed help in many of their weak areas. Should trade him to MTL so he can hang with "Look what I have done in 2 years, pay me top dollar" Subban.

I tell you, if this Oilers team does make the playoff's - I wouldnt want to face them in the first round.

You wouldn't want 4 games of shooting on Devan Dubnyk after skating around the pylons they have on defense?

That would be the exact team I would want to face in the play-offs especially when you throw in their soft, inexperienced forwards as well.

Better them than facing LA or even a team like Minnesota based on the same theory.

Maybe you missed the part where he shot the puck into the net 2 seconds after the whistle and Quick went and had a little chat with him.

Yeah..... shooting pucks into nets after the whistle gets a lot of love by the opposing team. Oh yeah Hall did the same thing last nite.

If Sven doesn't do the Terrell Owen at centre ice after scoring his first goal this year, i hope we send him down to Abbotsford for not showing enough youthful enthusiasm.

I'm driving to Edmonchuk today. Hopefully my car doesn't do a Yakupov and slide half way down the Anthony Henday.

Defense I'll give you, but Dubnyk's been pretty solid for 2 seasons. Average to above average starting goalie in terms of save percentage.
