Default City of Edmonton rebranding

I guess "NO GOOD" was already taken?

http://dailyhive.com/montreal/edmont...-edmonton-2017

"Edmonton spends 3 years rebranding itself, comes up with ‘Edmonton’"

And Edmonton just keeps Edmontoning along. Will they ever stop making us cringe?

Ah Edmonton....the gift that keeps on giving. Keep up the good work guys.

Its being ridiculed in the E=NG thread, but a little more ridicule never hurts when it comes to Edmonton.

What really blows me away is that this cost $2M and took 3 years. Thats just staggering.

If I gave someone 3 years to re-brand my business and they came back with this they wouldnt be getting a cheque for their bill they'd be getting a punch in the face.

And the real kicker at the end is that cheesy line: "the real brand of Edmonton will be it's stories!!"

Oh wow....they're slathering the BS on pretty thick...

Man, I'm not even a designer, and I would have loved to have taken on that contract.

Take the $2M, register to www.fiverr.com, outsource the work for $5 (maybe a $10 bonus add on), then pocket the rest.

Living in Edmonton now as well and regularly coming back to Calgary, the mood is definitely more upbeat among people in Coiler country. Of course there is more public sector work and stuff, and honestly the branding issue - even seems to just chuckle at it. Seems like Calgarians are making the most stink (and rightfully so haha).

Yeah, tons of Government work will do that.

Can you tell me that that Logo is worth $2M? Or better yet, get your brother in here and lets have his opinion.

I dont care if its Edmonton or Timbuktu, they got ripped off and are now trying to show the world that they're happy about it...and that deserves ridicule.

You think I feel like responding in any meaningful way to one of your patented (and tired) attempts to goad me into a debate about public spending and pull Muta into it as well just for some slapstick CP humor?

Yawn.
