Haha, yeah. I guess I was more asking about the "anywhere" portion of travelling with a 2-month old. I've never done this before so I'm pretty much clueless.
At this price, I would say it's worth it. I don't have kids, but from what my friends say, it definitely changes the way you travel though. May as well get used to it though, they're not going away for the next 20 years! I would think I would prefer travelling with a 2 month old over a 2 year old. Maybe even a 12 year old. I believe your 2 month old would fly for free as well ?

Peanut, I don't have kids, but virtually all of my friends do (and family members) and the 3-6 month age is usually great for travelling since they're not mobile yet, sleep a ton and are fairly portable. I think at 2 months, you have to ask yourself if YOU will feel up to travelling. The "mommy haze" can be pretty bad the first few months. But it's really up to the individual.

Im sure if you could take a ferry or something to barcelona you could take a train through france and into the Uk .... would prob be cheaper than a flight but who knows... its been 15 years since i have been over there
Looks like the Ferry is about 75 euros each way, from what I can see. More than the flight, haha!

Wow this Spain deal is crazy. I should be booking soon. However Madrid sounds much more appealing to me, would I have any problems if I just left the airport at Madrid, and got on the connecting flight in Madrid when leaving?

Add me as another CP member who's booked. I had originally booked for the 7-14 but it let me cancel and then re-book for the longer dates for anyone who is wondering. No fees to cancel.

Airlines generally frown upon this, often canceling your return flight. It's best to ask and see if you can get your ticket changed for free.

We're hoping to do the same though!

Awesome let me know if you guys are able to change it. I wouldn't mind sitting in a beach in the mediterranean, but I'd rather see a city like Madrid. This is not an everyday opportunity for me!

Just for fun, I decided to go to aircanada.ca and see what the cost of the flight to Toronto alone would be. To go on those exact same flights as for the Spain deal, it costs $718.55 Canadian for Tango. I would rather pay $130 US and go to Spain.

Just booked -- now just waiting for the email confirmation We decided to just go with one week -- if you're thinking about making a longer trip to see other parts of Europe, you can book for 3 weeks (Sept 7 to 28).

The EXACT same flight from YYC to Madrid (without the extra leg to Menorca) is $700, so I really have no idea what's going on with this flight fare. Somebody must have screwed up somewhere

The deal was too good to be true.

I just got this email:

Dear Orbitz traveler,

Thank you for choosing Orbitz as your preferred travel provider. We regret to inform you that, due to limited availability, the airline was not able to confirm the flights you requested. Therefore, no tickets have been issued for this trip and your credit card has not been charged.

Situations like this are rare; however, when they do occur we attempt to contact our customers immediately as to avoid missing out on advance purchase opportunities. To book a different flight, please visit www.orbitz.com

To help you understand how this situation could occur:
Orbitz is a full service travel agency. Our advanced search engine searches two billion fares within seconds from over 450 airlines. Our secure on-line booking system accesses fares and availability from the same central reservation systems that other travel agents and airline reservation agents are booking from worldwide. As you can imagine, with the extensive volume of agents booking flights at any given time, availability for a particular flight can be gone in an instant. Therefore, when your ticketing request reached the airline, availability for the flight(s) you selected was no longer available.

The confirmation e-mail that you may have received is only an acknowledgement that the flights you selected for purchase have been sent to the airline for approval prior to ticketing and does not guarantee ticket issuance.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to serving you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Orbitz Ticket Advisory Department

I just got one as well, for my friend...

Is there another place we can try booking through I wonder....

I can't seem to book directly with SpanAir, it doesn't list Calgary as a departure city.
