What time will the games be on?
Pyeongchang is 15 hours ahead of calgary, in terms of tv coverage any pull that mainstream sports have through the COC or USOC they will want what's best for prime time in the east
8pm est is 9am in South Korea I believe

There will be 30 games played in the Men's Hockey Tournament. - 16 will start at 9:10pm in Korea (5:10am MST/7:10am EST)
- 7 will start at 4:40pm in Korea (12:40am MST/2:40am EST)
- 6 will start at 12:10pm in Korea (8:10pm MST/10:10pm EST)
The Men's Gold Medal game will start at 3:10pm in Korea on February 25. That is 11:10pm MST on Saturday night, February 24.
For the opening round, Canada will be in the same pool as the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and South Korea.

If guys like Jankowski and Foo don't make the Flames or even guys like Shinkaruk and Poirier, if it would be beneficial to loan them to team Canada.

In some respects this is much better than a Team Canada roster composed of NHL players. Cheering for a team that featured Connor McDavid would make me nauseous.

I think when push comes to shove, people can separate club from country. That said, you don't have to openly root for McDavid to do well and I can only speak for myself, but if he scores a big goal for Canada, I think a polite golf clap is not over the top.
