How can people like her and Spicer not see this? I get being a conservative and a Republican, and it's understandable that you'd want a job in the White House, but there's no way this whole thing isn't going to be seen as a disaster. And here they are, putting their necks out there to defend this lunacy.
They will get huge book deals.

Yeah, by selling their souls to the devil.

I'm greedy too, but I could never just give up on morality and work for this disgusting man and lie to everyone I've ever met just to score a book deal.

And I need people like him to stop acting like this is a surprise. This was campaign Trump, this was president-elect Trump, and nothing has changed now that he's the most powerful man in the world. He's still an immature, thin-skinned misogynist. None of this is surprising.

It's just amazing that enough of America believed his shtick to get him elected even though this comment is just par for the course with this guy.

On the plus side I don't trust many red staters to be able to fire accurately whilst riding upon their little rascals. As long as you avoid Golden Corral parking lots and WalMart you should be fine.

When I need to retreat to my safe place, I always head to the National Rifle Association. It's a no-brainer really!

That video is horrifying. "There are people who have an agenda that is contrary to your values. They're doing terrible things and saying terrible things. You're going to need a gun in order to deal with them."

Even the title is just beyond the pale. "The violence of lies"... this notion that statements, even mendacious ones, are a form of violence that can reasonably be responded to with actual physical violence is one of the biggest potential powder kegs out there right now.

I doubt we see a full-blown civil war, but acts of terror similar to "the troubles" are certainly not off the table.

The NRA doesn't care about gun owners, just potential gun purchasers. Those cowards wouldn't step up and defend Philando Castile. They just want to keep everyone scared and armed to the teeth.

There aren't enough unemployed young men to maintain large-scale violent protests or activity for any appreciable period of time.

Small-scale violence by single people or small groups is probably very likely though. Particularly if Trump is impeached.

Trump reportedly scrambling to get together a list of accomplishments for an upcoming performance review with his boss.

Quote:
President Donald Trump has asked National Security Council staff to come up with "deliverables" that he can offer to Russian President Vladimir Putin during their meeting on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Germany next week, The Guardian reported Thursday.

It is unclear what those deliverables would look like, but they could include an offer to ease sanctions — which the Trump administration has reportedly looked into at least twice since January — or to give back the Russian diplomatic compounds that President Barack Obama ordered evacuated in December. Obama issued new sanctions and closed the facilities in response to Russia's meddling in the 2016 election.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

The Dana Loesch NRA ad is because gun sales have collapsed without Dems in power. Remember after every single mass shooting in the Obama era, gun sales would always spike because the NRA and the gun nuts would immediately pivot to "they're coming for our guns". But now with the GOP in charge of everything, those appeals to drive gun sales simply don't work. So gotta find other ways, but even that ad won't work.

What that ad once again tells me is America needs to split apart. The West Coast and Northeast become their own (very rich) country, Middle America becomes it's own (very poor, rule of law likely based on the Bible) country. People like Loesch and Middle America hate those liberals states anyway, seems like a deal where everyone wins (if you ignore New Murica probably being poorer than Mexico).

Now this is accurate as hell. I get multiple notifications a day of gun sales and ammo availability. You can buy a decent light AR-15 for under $400. You can also get any variety of ammunition, and in numbers, for prices 15-20% off what they were pre-election. The gun manufacturers are hurting right now.
