I read Dog's autobiography a few years back while on vacation. Wouldn't call it a life changing read by any stretch of the imagination.
But what I did find interesting is that apparently he caught the Max Factor guy by essentially telling people he knew where he was and was going to catch him in a few days. He then made noise where he thought the guy was and someone came forward to rat the guy out. I guess by claiming that they are mere moments away is a strategy that draws informants out in an attempt to get their piece of the reward. Apparently the bluff strategy works in bounty hunting as there is not much honour amongst theives (or bad guys).
I am curious if that worked out here. Looking at their twitter, there was a strategy to reach out through social media to let the guy know where they were and what they were doing. The picture of the snakes to show they got into his house - interesting tactic. They also did a good job of letting the MMA world know how to get a hold of them.

Was he charged with a felony? Under California law you can make an arrest if they are wanted for a felony.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizen...#United_States
California Penal Code section 837 is a good example of this codification: 837. A private person may arrest another:
- For a public offense committed or attempted in his/her presence.
- When the person arrested has committed a felony, although not in his presence.
- When a felony has been in fact committed, and he or she has reasonable cause for believing the person arrested to have committed it.

Yeah. Still don't think he is allowed to enter private property of someone else though.

Id really like to thank all my fans ands followers for the many leads and tips you've been sending in . Some of you with dead on accuracy to those who hindered this investigation and conspired to aid and abet a fugitive "Shame on you "
A mighty Force to be reckoned with in two days time the leads coming into the tip line had the #dogpound 4 hours behind him #JUSTICEFORCHRISTYMACK will be served. No matter who laid hands on War Machine the scenario ended the way it should peacefully and without incedent, yet still on his way to jail .. No hard feelings to the Us Marshall's
After all my honey did beat you guys to Luster so its only fitting you beat us this time lol

Not sure in this situation. Had this Guy skipped bail then yes Bounty Hunters can absolutely destroy and capture you by any means necessary. Not only your own residence but any hotel/motel, family or friends house . They are even protected by law for any damage caused to property or people in the capture of a bail jumper. They legally can go full hulk on you.

Agreed. Nobody loves "the dawg" more than "the dawg". Whole family screams trailer trash, but he is apparently pretty good at what he does (which I remain unsure if that is "promote himself" or "catch bail jumpers").

A press release from the Simi Valley (Calif.) Police Department today announced the fighter’s arrest at an Extended Stay America hotel in Simi Valley, Calif.
Koppenhaver, 32, was taken into custody without incident by the Simi Valley police and the U.S. Marshal’s service, which pinpointed Koppenhaver’s location. He was found with “a small quantity of cash and some pizza.”

Come on now let's be realistic, ain't nobody messing with him in jail. He'll likely beat up 99% of the jail population.

Fighting in a controlled environment with rules and a referee is a lot different than fighting in jail.

In a ring, under refereed conditions, absolutely. I'm pretty sure that's not how jail fights work though.

I would still take my chances as a MMA trained fighter rather than being some other guy in jail. To suggest he'll be raped in jail is foolish.

Last time he was in jail, they put him in solitary confinement for the whole duration. He was to much of a risk to the rest of the inmates. He talked about on JRE podcast.

A professional fighter would destroy pretty much anyone else, ref or no ref. They are very capable and just a few kicks to the body or legs would end most fights. It is VERY difficult to land a punch (anything) on a pro. Outside the ring groin kicks, eye gouges and spiking are fair game for a pro which are nasty.
Jail is a nasty place where groups of people could jump him, which wouldn't go well for him. I doubt any single person would attempt a 1 on 1, but who knows.
