Should Feaster get fired over the O'Reilly offersheet fiasco
Now that it officially comes from the league O'Reilly would have to clear waivers to have played with the Flames if Colorado didn't match should Feaster be let go?
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=417108
Quote:
According to the Kontinental Hockey League's website, O'Reilly - who was unsigned until Thursday night - played for Metallurg Magnitogorsk on Jan. 21 and Jan. 23 (written in the game sheets as 'Rayan O Rayli'). And as NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly told TSN on Friday, O'Reilly would have had to clear waivers to join the Flames if he actually played in the KHL after the start of the NHL season on Jan. 19.

Mods could we get a poll please.

No, because it didn't happen. If it HAD happened, then yes. As it turns out, I actually think the result was good for any non-Colorado NW division team - that contract is terrible for the Avs and I would expect it will lead to ROR being a UFA after next season.

Yes! He dodged a massive bullet but there should be other heads that roll too.

No. I'm sure there was a room full of people in on this and it was missed because it was a strange technicality. No way the Flames fire Feaster over this.

I like him as a person, but if this ends up being the case, yes, no question.
You can't simply move on from something like this. Fans have no confidence.

The Flames managed to dodge a major bullet apparently. A bullet that Feaster aimed right at his own head. Just because it missed doesn't excuse the borderline ######ed move on his part.
Fire him.

Yes. This shows that Feaster is NOT the smart hockey IQ guy this organization needs if we're planning on winning NOW. We bring in a new GM thats told to re-tool this team NOW, he'll do it.

You're right.
They should fire everyone that was in that room.

Yes - Don't see what other choice you have at this point. If this would of went through, it would of been a huge blow to the team. Even if Feaster wasn't the one who was responsible for checking that kind of information, he is ultimately accountable for it.
I've been a Feaster supporter up until this point, was a big fan of this move, but think you have to do something.

Yes...along with Ken King.
For the record, I really liked Feaster but this is not acceptable.
Strongly dislike Ken King.
