One thing to consider is how do you plan for self-quarantine in the event you test positive on the trip? Where? How would you obtain sufficient food and water supplies?

I understand that’s the case for Provincial parks but does it also apply to municipal campgrounds, or private ones?

I read a pretty good book called A Purpose Ridden a few years ago. He bikes across Canada and some other really long routes as well. Might be worth checking out.

My understanding is that is doesn't apply to private ones, but I'm not sure about municipal ones. Good question for me to look into though!

Another option is a organization called Warmshowers - it's kind of like Couchsurfing but for cyclists. It might not work to stay in a spare room, but they might be more willing to let me set up camp in their backyard!

A roommate of mine did this in college. They were glad they did it, as it wasn't a huge commitment. They also said it was insanely boring and didn't really have much to talk about as per the experience. Huge parts of the journey were just bland highway.

If you're good is some kind of fitness claim, I think it's great. If you want to see the country then a car is a much better option. In a car you can deviate from the main route, stop in small towns along the way, etc...

I have cycled across Vietnam, Oregon, BC and South America. Definitely do it if you can figure the logistics out. Good luck.
