Bartschi picked up seven points, scoring three goals and four assists to go with a +4 rating, in two games over the past week helping the Winterhawks to a 1-0-1-0 record.

This really shocks me. I remember him getting trashed on this board for his skating, especially backwards, during the development camp.

Any word on how Wahl is doing this year?

I haven't really kept up with him besides checking Hockeydb.com and it just says Stats un available for this season.

Is he healthy yet?

He hasn't played yet this season, I think Ryan Pinder said he would be returning to action soon, but I don't know what kind of injury Wahl might have sustained.

Wahl was sent to the ECHL tonight and John Armstrong was called up.

abbotsfordheat #AHLHeat have called up John Armstrong and have assigned Mitch Wahl to @UtahGrizz http://bit.ly/nc7tgk

I seem to remember positive reviews on his skating. I thought some scout said that the way he uses his edges is remniscent of Crosby, but I could be wrong. People were saying if he was even 5'10 he would be a top ten pick in this draft.

I'd expect Horak to be sent down within the week, if the Flames are to make any more moves. But they might sit tight with who they have until Backlund and/or Carson get back.

Impressive to see John Gaudreau with 6 points through his first 4 games in the NCAA. It is rare that you see a freshman, especially one that is so small, put up over a PPG pace early in his NCAA career.

Thanks to all the posters that have kept me informed this year in the " Back Burner Forum". These threads have kept me from throwing my computer out the window after reading " fire on ice" threads. Keep it up and i hope our prospects also keep it up.

No problem. In fact, I kind of agree with you.

The Back Burner forum is generally very level-headed where good discussions happen more than name-calling, etc.

Joey Leach with the lone goal for Kootenay tonight, Reinhart got an assist.

Bartschi with 2 assists in a 7-6 shootout win over Saskatoon. He's on a 2 point/game pace through the first 8 games.

And Ferland picked up an assist in Brandon's 4-1 win over Seattle.

Both Rhienhart and bartschi in the top 15 scoring in the dub. Ferland not far behind either. Very exciting to see.

John Armstrong was all smiles in the locker room this AM. Happy to be back in #YXX no question. (1-1-2) in Utah #AHL #ECHL

is he replacing someone with an injury or is someone else being demoted?

Baertschi was credited with another assist from last night, now with 17 points in 8 games. The highlights are available on the Winterhawks website. He could have had a fourth assist, he made a couple great moves off the boards to beat two players and feed Rattie for a wide open net but he hit the crossbar. Baertschi also scored the shootout winner.

Pen's pick Joe Morrow also had a great end to end goal.
