Oh wow, Arnold is scoring at twice the pace he was last season. In 39 games last season, he had 20 points but this year, he is a PPG player through 22 games. He's only very slightly behind Chris Kreider. That's pretty impressive, considering Kreider is New York's best prospect. Not to mention, Arnold is a sophomore, while Kreider is a juniour.

That's impressive stuff from Arnold. What are the chances he turns pro next year?

Good to hear about Wahl. Hopefully he gets a good opportunity with all the injuries the Heat are having.

Here's the Heat roster with the number of pro (non-ECHL/CHL) games.

The Heat have to play 12 skaters with fewer than 260 games played and 1 skater with fewer than 320 games played. (On the flip side, that means they can play 6 skaters with more than 260 games played as long as one of them has played between 260 and 320).

The Heat have 8 players who have 260+ (Wilson, Carson, Piskula, Laing, Ivanans, Walter, Kolanos & Desbiens). Six of them (everyone but Piskula and Desbiens) are 320+.

Goalies:
Taylor
Ortio

Defenders:
Wilson - 452
Carson - 339
Piskula - 270
Henry - 230
Breen - 74
Negrin - 72
Sinkewich - 12
Martin - 0 [Injured]

Forwards:
Laing - 647
Ivanans - 472
Walter - 447
Kolanos - 398
Desbiens - 291
Letourneau-Leblond - 229
Rheault - 147
Byron - 132
Aliu - 114
Nemisz - 74 [Injured]
Patterson - 61
Sylvester - 51 [Injured]
Wahl - 21
Bancks - 38
Blackwater - 21
Dowling - 8
Howse - 0 [Injured]
Dee - 0

Elson ended up with 2 goals and 2 assists in a 5-1 win.

Bartschi has one assist so far, still a period left to play.

For a more detailed statistical analysis of Bill Arnold and Johnny Gaudreau.

See here:

Gaudreau has 8g, 9a in 25 games.

Crap. I just realized that Arnold is only a sophomore, and might still play two more years of College hockey.

Bill Arnold - 2nd year of college
John Ramage - 3rd year of college
John Gaudreau - 1st year of college

speaking of our college prospects: has anyone seen Ramage play this year? You simply cannot judge his play based on points, so I have no idea if/how he has improved this year.

Apparently the Winterhawks don't have a single shot through 2 periods?

Has to be an error.

I can't see any team not registering a shot through 50 minutes of hockey, let alone one of the top teams in the league.

Markus Granlund has 1+2 in the 4 games he's played in since WJC (where his stats were: 7 games, 2 goals, 5 assists, +5).

So that's 19 points in 30 games this season, and using the November break as a cut off point as before, he has 14 points in his last 16 games.

Doesn't matter much as he likely won't be signed next season, but Stefan Meyer has 4 assists in 9 games with Farjestad.
