I believe I just heard this correctly.
Only 5 current NHLers got to 100 goals at a younger age than Monahan.
Stamkos, Jagr, Crosby, Kane, and Ovechkin. This courtesy of Derek Wills on Fan960.

And some on this board complain about how poorly Monahan is doing this year. We have a stud here. Responsible defensively, getting good on the dot, plays the PK. And only one of those other 5 is a center with the two way responsibility and difficulty that it takes to learn that position at the NHL level. What more could you want???

Crosby: 21 years, 72 days
Jagr: 21 years, 261 days
Ovechkin: 22 years, 25 days
Kane: 22 years, 115 days
Monahan: 22 years, 134 days

Back in 2013, who would have guessed that not only would Monahan lead his draft year in scoring, but would have 100 goals before Drouin has 100 points?
So fortunate we got him at 6.

Here's what it will take to match this record... Bennett: November 2, 2018 (72 goals in approx. 115 games)
Tkachuk: April 24, 2020 (89 goals in approx. 267 games)
That's one goal every three games for Tkachuk, which is certainly possible.
