Gaudreau has the same stat line as Tkachuk less an assist -- 11 G 29 A 40 Pts in less games with a lot more scrutiny to battle through and a tough injury to deal with - that said there's no question Tkachuk has performed more consistently this year.

4 assists against a solid preds team, he's finding his groove again and we finish with a lot of games at home, I think he has a chance to hit 60 points.

People need to stop freaking out about Johnny and realize that he's gonna be fine and hasn't been as bad as some people are making it seem.

Dont know if it has been mentioned or not yet, but last night was the final back to back of the season.

They have positioned themselves nicely to get in the dance, now its just a matter of finishing things. So much easier to stay ahead of the others rather than being the chasers.
Things looking good now though...didnt think it possible even 3 weeks ago during that "get down by 4 every game" stretch they went through.

It really makes you wonder what exactly was affecting them when they went through that bad stretch. They go to Ottawa, pull out a win in OT, and haven't looked back since. If they win the next two games I think they could finish 10-2-1 for February.

I read a few days ago that they were targeting mid March. I wonder if they are trying to get him back a bit earlier due to the tailspin they have been in.

I agree it sounds scary although by the stats Quick has had about the same stats or worse than what Budaj has had this year since 2012.

Kings offense is anemic right now, Quick won't change that.

Feels like we are playing with the lead heading into the 3rd period eh?

Consistency is a big part of player development, and it takes time. A new coach is always a learning process as well.

I'd recommend people stop harping on Johnny (and Sean, and Sam, and TJ, and Dougie), and give it some time & show some patience. Why? It should be clear - we've had a lot of young developing players struggle at various times this season, and we're still right in the middle of the playoff battle in the division/conference. We have all the reason in the world to think that the consistency will develop over time, and when that development takes place - look at where we'll be. We're going to be division winners.

It's no coincidence that some of our best seasons were in the 80s when we fought the Oil in the playoffs. It's time to regain that, win or lose.
How about a healthy rivalry with, say SJ or LA which pushes us to new heights?

While the Oilers continue to wallow in their own incompetence.

I'd like to see the oilers miss the playoffs for the next 47 years.

Dispite his great stats Budaj tends to let in a soft goal at crucial times and that has hurt the Kings. I would think the Quick would give them an emotional boost.

That is definitely Gaudreau, but in the finished work, I wasn't sure... and MMF totally fooled me.
