Gaudreau - Monahan - Doan
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Versteeg - Bennett - Iginla
Ferland - Stajan - Brouwer
Hathaway, Hamilton
That would be an insanely deep group of forwards if we made the dance.

Doan I agree but Iggy I think should come, no doubt. Hoping it happens for sure.

I don't think Doan waives except for a clear cup contender. He loves living in Phoenix.

Should we bring back Darryl to? Conny and Gelly are here they can come out of retirement....Sarich still lives here , Warrener is on the fan , ahhhh....I have great memories of Jarome and always perk up when I hear a name from that 04 roster .
We should just keep the memories and not wish for more. Watching Iggy turn into a soft perimeter player or 1 trick pony as Wilson once called him doesn't make me want him back .
Now if we were talking about Jagr I'd be singing a different tune. 45 and still amazing IMO...

As overdramatic as your post was, did you seriously mock the idea of bringing back Darryl Sutter? The same Darryl Sutter who's an elite NHL coach with two Stanley Cups?

It's unlikely that the top tier teams will be lining up to acquire him. He'll likely have to settle for a mid-range or bubble team that's willing to take him on in a third or fourth line role to bring veteran leadership.
|
I wonder who that could possibly describe...

I just don't understand why there are a handful of posters who can't just say they think it's a bad idea without making up a bunch of BS to justify why they feel that way.

Not going to argue against that. I mean, I don't think that's how it would go, but my crystal ball was pretty cheap, so it's probably not magical
After reading these debates, I mostly feel the roughly 50/50 split in the poll is quite fitting. Luckily it's not my job to decide this stuff

Doan is garbage and will only waive for a California team. I think it is Sharks or bust for him.

I spoke with someone in the Flames organization today and my gut feeling is that Iginla coming back is highly unlikely. Probably no more moves will be made unless they can dump Wideman.

Iggy isn't coming back but the Flames will do something IMO
Who did you speak to a janitor? The people who actually make those decisions don't just tell randoms what their plans are
