Given a few more years of development and time and patience and I would say he is a very good, if not elite second line center who is a huge reason that the Flames are going to make the playoffs. I don't think it is a good idea to cast someone off for early struggles, especially when they do have the potential that is evident when looking at both players talent

A player like Versteeg is still a damn good player who helped a team win a Stanley Cup and if Baetschi had his career that would be a great player for the Canucks to have for a second round pick

I might prefer Baertschi over Versteeg on that third line

Oh, hm. I guess they forgot about the beatdown they received by the last playoff team they played. Doesn't matter, though. It's not like 25 other teams in the league lay beatings on the Avalanche too.

I could care less about home ice and who finished ahead of who, only thing that will matter is who makes it farther. I love that we play all the Cali teams to end the year, will be a good measuring stick and practice for the playoffs. Flames 3 pts out of the top position while getting to play Anaheim and the Sharks multiple times while being comfortably in a playoff spot. Did not envision this 2 months ago.

They're tanking so they can get the Oilers in the first round.

It would be hilarious if the Sharks drop into the wild card spot after being comfortably in first for most of the season.

Flames with 2 games each against San Jose and Anaheim. Home ice is definitely still in play.

This may be in other threads and if so apologize. If Chicago finishes first in the conference who do they play if Central team finishes first wild card and Pacific second wild card.

I think there were more Rag fans at the game than Kings fans.
