Just finished episode 3, and I'm enjoying it so far, although I agree it's not quite the same YET.

My feeling is that with the Netflix, release all at once format, they've taken the delayed payout even further than in the original seasons, which has made the first few episodes a lot of set up for later punchlines. A few examples I've noticed:

Spoiler!

Bottom line, I'm keeping the faith in Mitch Hurwitz and the crew that when everything comes together, we'll all be singing their praises.

That bit from episode 2 had me laughing good. Although I agree it starts off pretty weak. I just finished the Tobias episode though and it was hilarious.

Spoiler!

I have seen the first two episodes only and am glad that the Tobias episode is better... Huzzah!

In typical AD fashion they spend 3 episodes building jokes and then one delivering them. A lot of the stuff from the first few episodes actually becomes funnier in retrospect.

Didn't get one on my phone all day but just got home and had a notification from Netflix on my Nexus 7 tablet "Say hello to THESE..." was the header with a notification about new the new episodes.

Is it just me or does it seem that the writers spend all their time over the last few months reading in-flight magazines instead of working on the show?

Three episode in for me, and all three episodes mentioned in-flight magazines... Strange.

The first 3 episodes are really just a catch-up (which, with a 9-10 year in-show time gap is pretty necessary), and while funny, not the best. Episode 4 however is a true return to form (and ensemble, rather than generally isolated stories) and I'm really excited to watch the remaining 9 episodes throughout the week.

I'm finding the episodes absolutely hilarious. I got to episode 7, and it's crazy how intertwined the stories are. Jobe's and Tobias' episodes are by far the most hilarious. Can't wait to watch the rest ASAP!

I loved the first two, and I'm sure they will seem even funnier after we have seen all 15 episodes, and re-watch the series. The original AD was not always LOL funny, as everything takes time to sink in.

I got up to episode 5 last night and was laughing pretty good. It's still a little weird focusing on basically one character per episode but that's fine just a different vibe, i'm over it. The laughs are coming more as things get more intertwined.

The only thing that really didn't work for me was Kristin Wiig and Seth Rogan as young Lucille and George, especially Rogan. It really felt like pointless stunt-casting. Although, I would have liked to see his take on younger Oscar, he just doesn't get to play a stoner enough.

Henry Winkler's son as young Barry was great, though.

Lots of cameos too. Seth Rogen as 1982 George Sr., and the three dudes from Workaholics working the airline counter come to mind.

I've gotten thru 14 episodes. First couple were bleh. I assume they will make more sense when I re-watch them.

I have found it to be so good. Like the rest of the series I will have to re-watch it to get more of the jokes. I'm excited to go home and watch the last episode and then start them over through out the week, lol.

The way everything ends, you have to think they have plans for continuing the story somehow, either with more episodes, or with a movie.

Is it just me or does Lindsay look weird? Has she had some plastic surgery or something? I can't put my finger on it - and maybe it's just that she's older now - but something looks off about her.

I think it's a combination of being 40 now instead of 30, and it looks like she has lost some weight in her face, so her face is more angular than it used to be.

Also, I think in the scenes where she has long blonde hair, she's wearing a wig, which may have been a factor in changing her appearance. I think she looks much better in the scenes after she cuts her hair.

Botox might be at work along the way too.
