Jankowski and Gilmour both got an assist on the same PP goal. Harrison got a point on each Colgate goal, scoring the first and getting an assist on the second.

BU played today, winning 5-4 in OT. Hickey had a goal.
Hickey now has 3 points (all goals) in 6 games played. With that, now, every Flames pick in the NCAA has at least 0.5 points per game (going into today's game, Jankowski is at 1.5 PPG and Gilmour is at 1.0 PPG).

Jankowski has an assist, just a simple play where he protected the puck from the right corner and then got it to the point for a one-timer. Also nearly had a much prettier assist but the guy botched the tip in. Honestly though, watching Providence play, Jankowski doesn't really play a whole lot at even strength and when he does the puck seems to go everywhere along the boards away from him. His hockey sense seems to be his undoing as he goes to "quiet areas" without the puck instead of just chasing after it all the time, and then spends the rest of his shift waiting for someone to find him until 20 more seconds pass and he goes to sit down for the next four minutes (or until there's a PP/PK). Based on what I'm seeing I don't think his stats are very sustainable, but it's less his fault and more just the team he plays on. He's a natural center, but I feel like he'd be the perfect third wheel to Bennett and Johnny.
Harrison is a good power forward. Could be a Hathaway type, I think signing him to an ELC after his senior year is a good idea.

4-3 Providence win. Jankowski with the one assist. Harrison and Gilmour with no points. Things got chippy at the end of the game and Jankowski was angry as he left the ice.
Providence remains unbeaten with a 6-0-1 record. They have a week off then play a National Championship rematch home-and-home series against Hickey and the BU Terriers on November 13 & 14.
Last week in the polls, Providence was ranked third overall behind North Dakota and Nebraska-Omaha. Nebraska lost both of its games this weekend, so I'd think that PC should move up to at least second.

On Saturday, all of the teams with Flames prospects won their games (Colgate, 2-1 over Princeton; BU, 4-1 over Northeastern; and MSU, 7-4 over New Hampshire), but none of the Flames kids got any points.
Matt DeBlouw missed his 4th straight game for the Spartans. I assume he has to be injured. At this point, I'll be very surprised if he gets a contract at the end of the season.
In non-Flames NCAA news: Canucks draft pick, Thatcher Demko has 6 shutouts in his last 7 games played for Boston College. So far on the season, he has allowed 6 goals in 9 games played (half of those were in one game). He has an NCAA-best 0.67 GAA and 0.974 SV%.
Also at BC, while the whole family is visiting Johnny in Calgary, Matt Gaudreau is on a four-game point streak, with 5 points (1G/4A) in his last 4 games.

Of course, the one Providence game they're airing is on at the same time as a Flames game (although it starts an hour earlier, and college games usually go a lot quicker than NHL games, so it could be half over by puck drop in the Flames game). At least it's one more Friar game than they showed last season.
It should be a good game with BU looking for revenge from the National Championship game.

Should be interesting to follow his progression. The Flames had a choice between Demko and McDonald and it sounds like it was a close call. Both are looking good.
Bump to remind everyone that the Providence vs Boston University game is on TSN2 starting at 4:00pm MT.
Jankowski & Gilmour vs Hickey.
The Friars enter the game on an 11 game unbeaten streak (10-0-1) dating back to the NCAA Tournament last season and are currently the #1 ranked team in the NCAA in both the USCHO.com and USA Today polls with a 6-0-1 record on the season. BU is ranked 11th, with a 5-3-0 record. The Terriers are on a 3 game winning streak.
Hickey has 3 goals in his last 4 games, and 4 goals overall in 8 games played.
Jankowski has 10 points in 7 games and has only been kept off the score sheet in one game so far this season.
Gilmour has 3 points in his last 3 games, and 5 points in 6 games overall.
