Can Janko not win it then or has he just not done enough to be nominated?

These sort of things are usually determined by stats. Walman has the best stats on the Friars even if Janko's the best player.

His numbers are comparable or better than a lot of guys on the list, deservedly Jake Walman probably got most of the attention from the Friars though. Also plenty of 22-24 year olds.

Really impressive by Thatcher Demko and 18 year old Bruins 1st rounder Colin White on there.

Providence have a home/home with UMass Lowell this weekend.

That's bizarre:

From just tonight

@FriarsHockey
Jankowski called for interference. Teams will skate 4x4 for 1:48.

And I'm sure I've seen others

He has sick hands, it's crazy he doesn't have more goals and assists, hopefully this is just the tip of the ice berg! I have high hopes for Djanko.

College hockey isn't that high scoring compared to junior leagues so his numbers may look weak if anyone is used to seeing the gaudy numbers of CHLers. He's over a point per game this season, that's the kind of progression we were hoping to see. I have high hopes for him too but he may still need a year in the minors or two as well to really fill out into his frame and figure out how to use his body as an asset for puck protection.

You jinxed him. He took his second penalty of the season Saturday night, after taking his first on Friday.

Providence lost on Saturday, 3-1 to UMass-Lowell. Jankowski and Gilmour were both held scoreless.

BU beat Maine, 6-1. Hickey was a +2 and had 5 shots, but didn't get a point in the game.

Harrison had a goal and 2 penalties in Colgate's 3-2 loss to Dartmouth.

MSU had an exhibition game against the USA Under-18 team. They won 3-2 in OT. DeBlouw had one assist.

All the Flames prospects are in action tonight.

Colgate's game is airing on TSN2. The game is currently early in the first period.

Providence is up 1-0 about halfway through the game. Jankowski has an assist on the goal.

Highlights, including Janko's goal: http://www.abc6.com/story/31096167/4...chneider-arena

Friars win 3-1. Janko's goal stands as the GWG.

No points for any of the other Flames' picks on Friday night.

Janko and Foley showing good team work early in the 1st.

Score is 1-0. Friars goal is Foley from Jankowski and Jankowski almost setup Foley for another one.

Friars lose 3-1 to UNH

Jankowski had 1 assist, but also got 2+10+game misconduct for a kneeing incident late in the 3rd. Looks like he is turning into a goon lately with all the PIMs.
