I dont think it can happen.

Part of his presence seems to rely on short appearances.

It gives him gravitas.

Well....that looks awesome.

And one thing I notice is that this season features a lot more Jerry, which is also awesome. Bring on more Jerry!

If it's going to be a season long action movie that's going to be pretty awesome.

A lot of build up and we see 5 saviours and the group shooting at a building for a while. The fight to end all fights was pretty anti climactic. And it looks like the key Saviours will survive anyway.

Coolest part was probably Reedus riding his bike around blowing things up.

Not bad, not great. Guess we are just launching full on into the war, but the way they left it feels like after some initial fireworks we are heading into a long, long lull. Some Gabriel/Negan bonding time.

The firefight felt empty because, well, it was empty. While I would prefer they save as much budget for a big blowout at the end, that entire confrontation just felt weird and hollow. And as smart as Simon, Negan, and the Saviors are they couldn't tell that Greg was useless? That was their ace in the hole here? Kind of nonsensical.

It all just kind of felt like we skipped 2 episodes somewhere.

This was just the first bloodying of the enemy. The only intention behind this sortie was to show them that they can get to them, and the herd will disrupt things for quite a while. That gives Rick et al some time to gain an advantage on them positionally and in terms of strategy.

Negan has always been one step ahead because he had so much information coming in. Now he's blinded, and the other groups can set up a plan without him knowing.

I'm sorta pissed that Father Gabriel risked himself for Gregory of all people. However, if it leads to some neat scenes between him and Negan, I can live with the plot device that puts him in that situation.

The jumping around threw me a little. I still didn't know what was going on until about 10 minutes left.

Not a bad episode.

Probably will see Rick face a dilemma about blowing up, or opening up the trailer to kill Negan now that Gabriel is a bit more of a sympathetic character.

I liked the episode. Was the old man Rick scenes hallucinations?

Seeing everyone complain on Reddit/Twitter on why Rick/Co just didn't shoot and kill Negan. That's not how TV works.

It is getting tiresome though. Your arch enemy that has caused you so much pain and suffering and that you have vowed to kill is standing on a loading dock within 100 yards, unarmed and delivering yet another sermon to you while you are part of a well armed and well defended mob and you don't take that shot?

What I'd like to know is what did those windows do to piss everyone off?

Any idea at all what the point of that was?

I never thought I'd say this, but I found Fear the Walking Dead much more interesting this season. I know TWD is based on a comic book, but this episode seemed like it was just a series of comic book panels with one line comments, and framed shots. It's turned into Aliens vs Alien. I know some people think the action movie Aliens was better than Alien, but I prefer the original. To me, FTWD is Alien, this is Aliens.

They also confirmed on The Talking Dead that The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead will be crossing over. Jumping the shark.

With Fear being based in Mexico and Southern California and TWD in the Georgia area, it's a good lot of distance to cover in the apocalypse.

Ewwww. FTWD is going to need a time jump to make that happen. And, uh, get to the other coast.

It would be funny if they had Negan or the Governor in FTWD, see them gradually turn into nut jobs.
